Meow that is something isn't it with those young people graduating that you had all those years?

I had some like that, and I loved working with all ages. I miss it so much, but had no other choice. You still will always have your memories, and can still see those young people who depended on you.

I taught special education, and have this one family with 6 kids. I had them all but one. They had a set of identical twin boys that still call me today, and they are in high school. I had to explain to them that it isn't appropriate for them to be calling at 10:00 p.m. at night unless it's an emergency.  :)

Carebear those lilacs sound so nice. I would like to plant some. My mother use to have some peonies that were big pink flowers, and such a nice aroma.
I am like you, and don't particularly like hot weather.

Today it is sunny, and warm but not too warm with a warm breeze. I went out on my front porch, and got my flowers planted. I bought some double marigolds and some little flower plants that have little fringes on the edges. They are purple and white, but I don't know the name of them. I got all of these at a fruit and vegetable market, and he has a green house, but these didn't have a name on them. I had such fun getting my hands in the soil.

Meow,  I worked with high school students for ten years, so I sure can relate to graduation time.

Too hot outside today for us northerners so we had pedicures done as a treat.  Nice feet!

Last night we had a brief thunderstorm with about 30 minutes of rain.  How fresh and clean it is this morning!   It will be perfect taking the dog for a walk before it gets too warm.

Today just enjoying the sound of a slow rain.

Yesterday evening my dear son called to say he would like to take me to dinner. His wife was gone out of town to one of her nephews 8th grade graduations. After dinner he drove showing me where this large lake it, and we just talked, and had the best time. I felt better when I returned home.  :)

My dh and I are on  vacation in Rome. Today we visited the Coliseum and tomorrow tje Vatican.  It has been very hot and my joints are feeling happy.

Sunday afternoon me and my dear hubby went to see my precious dad. I was so happy to feel well enough to see him, or at least struggled through with my health. That made my day such a good one. My dad got lots of hugs from me. My dear husband who has to wear support hose for his legs due to diabetic ulcers showed my dad his stockings trying to convince him to wear some. He doesn't want to wear them.

We also got to see a great niece of ours that we have been around since she was born, and she is getting ready to turn 16 now. We hadn't seen her to be able to talk to her in a while. It was a good day!

It took me all day, but I did it.  I made a most delicious potato salad for supper!   It's only a little thing but it is a very good thing.

Well done Susan and Carebear. Small things mean a lot to us, don't they.

I finally plucked up the courage to ask my rheumy nurse about taking part in a drug trial. I'll tell you more if it comes to anything.

I got up early this morning to watch the sun come up. Watching some birds eat some bread crumbs that my dear husband put out for them. Did a bit of sewing. Took me a good long shower and washed my hair.  :)

It's wonderful seeing the sun come up at this time of year. In the UK, it is happening around 4 am just now, so I only see it if I need a bathroom trip around that time. But I do love sunrise and sunset. They are such special times. What time does the sun rise in your area?
