Meow, you really have it made. lol.. As a former teacher I remember those days. You can breathe for a while now. lol..

I have been watching the sun come up this morning. Enjoyed a great cup of coffee.

I want to set out a few flowers on my front porch today, and re-arrange my front porch a bit.

Have a great day everyone.  :)

What a great idea!

Today I woke up feeling better than usual.  I'm going to shower, do my hair, then load the dishwasher.
I'm very grateful to have a dishwasher on days when I can't see the counter.  :O)

Best, Marie

It's great to see how people are still contributing to this thread - and to hear about the weather in the different regions.

We have had monsoon-like rain for the last couple of days, and some sneaky late frosts. As a result my beautiful primulas have been frost burnt, which makes me sad BUT most other things in the garden have survived, so that makes me very happy. We are hoping for some warmer, sunnier weather from tomorrow.

Now a question for you fur baby parents: If they are long haired, have you been tempted to trim their nether regions? We are the new parents for a 3 year old Yorkie who has a tendency to a grubby rear end (and beard), should we trim her in those areas, or just take her to a professional to give her an overall trim? I'm a bit worried about the latter option as it's still not very warm here.

Any thoughts?

The snow has melted, it's sunny and warm today.  No plants were damaged by the heavy, wet snowfall.   :D

I am resting in bed now, watching Season 5 of Downton Abbey.  The family took me out for pizza today for an early Mother's Day.

I am pooped out but content.   ;D

I have a big batch of rice pudding in the oven,  with a delicious combination of yumminess filling the house!  Yippee for dessert for the next few days!

I also replaced a few small perennials that didn't survive the winter.  I am totally exhausted, but I had a productive day.

I rarely eat rice pudding because of the carbs, but I LOVE it.

Rice pudding. Yum!

Me and hubby went for his first allergist appointment today. He really got stuck. lol.. He is not very allergic to most of the things, so that is great. He does need to see the pulmonologist, but we are narrowing things down for him too.

It also was early when we went, and cooler today with the sun shining, and we were just admiring how lush the trees were, and all the pretty wild flowers.  :)

I had a wonderful, stress free day today with my husband and fur babies for my birthday. My son called after getting back from South Carolina. I was so glad to hear he and my daughter in law made it back safely.

I had time today to do some devotional reading that I enjoy. Spent time with all my fur babies. Making sure my hubby got rest, because he has very low Iron levels, and extremely low d3, so he is very tired. I enjoyed waiting on him during this hard time.

Beautiful thunderstorm last night.

Saying goodbye to some seniors I had several years in a row. They are so awesome. I often wonder how much longer I can do the classroom gig, but other times the idea of not being around all of this youth and energy is unbearable.

Right now they are up and dancing to "Billie Jean"  and everyone's laughing, but all the dust they raised put something in my eye...

Our lilacs have been blooming for the last few days.  What a lovely aroma!  Wish they could stick around a bit longer though.

It has been very hot and sunny here this week.  I understand that most people enjoy this weather and I wish one of them was me.   ;).
