eBay . . . the worldwide garage sale that I can window shop, buy or sell at 24/7, 365 days a year!!   ;D  ;D

Oh my goodness . . . here it is just after 12:30 a.m. and I SHOULD be in bed as I have to work later this morning . . . but, nooooo . . . where am I?  Checking out eBay!!   ::)

Actually, I'm "watching" a few things and waiting on a reply from a seller.  Although, I could wait hours or days for a reply.  Sigh!  Don't they know I am sitting here at the computer waiting with baited breath??  LOL

I let an item slip away from me yesterday by a $1.00 . . . grrrrrrr.  Oh well - it wasn't meant to be.

I've never sold anything on eBay, we're just buyers.  Wow . . . what a variety!  Anything and everything under the sun.   8)

Today in the mail I received an item I ordered for work - I got two of them on eBay (with free shipping) that would cost me double to buy in the store!!  Love those deals.  In fact, I've ordered several things for work off of eBay - all brand new, cheaper than I can buy them locally - although, I do have to wait for them to be shipped and arrive, but that is usually only a weeks time.

Okay . . . I really, really need to head off to bed . . . . . (after I check eBay one last time to see if I've got any "messages".)   ;)  Sweet dreams  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

How 'bout you . . . have you got the fever too?

Yes I enjoy EBay too but I really do not buy much there. The most money I paid was $65 for a refurnished laptop. Usually is it <$5 on something and not very often - maybe once a week at most.

Somethings you can get good deals on and others you might as well go to the local store.  I seem to have a "thing" for pierced earrrings since I got my ears pierced last year. I only pay about $2 for them. I think I need a bigger jewel box. LOL   ;) ;D

I buy tons of stuff off ebay...just bought a new wardrobe practically as I don't like the clothes in the shops or current fashion trends so on ebay I can buy whatever I want.  I am having trouble with it at the moment though...technically.  I am finding it a bit buggy, I don't know if you are Bucky?

Scottietottie

I love ebay and buy a lot on it.

I always check out the prices on Amazon too though because sometimes ebay is NOT the cheapest. The auctions can be fun though - clicking the mouse at the evry last minute. Win some lose some!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Oh yeah, that's the "rush" of eBay . . . watch the clock ticking down, put your bid in, hit the send button, and in the last 15-20 seconds, hit the confirm button and hold your breath that you've won the item!!   ;D  Love it!

The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat!   :D   :'(

Pisces, thanks for reminding me that I'm "watching" a pair of earrings that ends tonight.   ;)

Ya know, you could find a lovely jewelry box on eBay!!   ;D

Happy "looking",  buying (or selling) everyone.   :)

You guys are really brave. I am afraid that I would go nutso and end up with a bunch of stuff I didn't need and couldn't use. Irish ;D

Irish,  :D ;)

I buy on E Bay a little, but am very careful (and frugile.)  :)  True, Amazon can have better deals and so does Overstock many times.

I don't do the auction thing on E bay usually but I did once.  I bought a huge white tent for our daughter's outdoor wedding reception at a fraction of the cost of buying or even renting one locally.  We keep it as the "family tent" so any cousins, aunts and uncles can use it when they need.

HAPPY E BAYING

Bucky

It's Friday - my day off work.   ;D

Had the pleasure of sleeping in this morning . . yay!!  When I got up, I was checking my email, seeing what's happening on FB, and then headed over to eBay to check on some items I'm "watching".

As I'm sure happens to many of you, while you're there at eBay . . might as well check out a few items.   ;)  One things leads to another and before you know it, you've been there a couple of hours!   :o

Back in October, I had a thread about Tupperware, https://sjogrensworld.org/index.php?topic=17502.msg186477#msg186477  Today, while I was at eBay anyhow, ( ;) ), I wanted to check on a few things and stroll down memory lane looking at the "Vintage" Tupperware.  To think, something as simple at looking at some plastic bowls, cups, storage containers, cake/pie takers, gadgets, toys, etc., can bring such fond memories of my childhood.  I looked at page, after page, after page of Tupperware.  Not only the current items up for auction, but the completed auctions too.

So, for you that are eBay-ers (new word) too - do you know if there is a way to ask a seller who has listed an item, that didn't sell from weeks ago, to re-list the item for auction?  There is a sentimental value item I found that I would really "like" to have - but, the auction ended (with no sales) in May.  This same person listed the item several times in May - with no sales.  I checked to see if they have a current listing for this item, but they don't.   :(

I didn't know if I contact eBay and ask them to contact the seller and ask them to re-list the item or am I just outta luck and will have to keep checking to see if the item ever is re-listed?

Having to re-check eBay all the time would be torture  ;) , but, I "suppose" I'm up for the task.   ;D  (Although, it really would be a pain to have check daily to see if it's been re-listed.)

Any ideas?

by 'buggy' I mean not working properly, glitches ect, quirks.  I am finding ebay is full of them at the moment.

Hi Bucky
If you have had the item on your watch list in my ebay and it has ended you should be able to go to it and ask a question, but if you haven't had it on watch you won't be able to and you will have to wait and see if they relist I hope that makes sense?

Hey Bucky,

I also really like E-bay and buy quite a few things on there. I sometimes do the auctions to get a better deal unless I really want something fast and can still find a good deal....then I do the "Buy it now" price.

And yes....like the others said...just go to the buyers profile and press "Notify Seller" to ask them if they plan to re-list any items....most are good at answering if they want to sell!

Happy E-baying! ;D
