This morning as I was unloading the dishwasher and putting things into the cupboard - I was taking a visual inventory of what's in the cupboards.  There's the drinking glasses, Corelle dishes, Pfaltzgraff dishes, serving bowls, mixing bowls,  platters, and Tupperware.

Tupperware . . . Tupperware . . . Tupperware!   ;D  Remember back in the 70's & 80's when it was quite common to attend a Tupperware party?

Between my mom, sister and I - we had enough Tupperware to start our own company!!    ::)  For a short while, my sister was a Tupperware distributor so she was always bugging me to get my friends to have parties.

If you went to a party, of course your relatives and friends expected you to have a party too so they could get free stuff.  The Tupperware circle of parties!

So, today I was looking at Ebay and typed in:  vintage Tupperware  There are over 4,100 items listed!!   :o  I was looking through some of them saying, I've got that - I've got that - I've got that . . . and on and on.

Here's what I've got in my cupboards/pantry:
-  Harvest gold 6 oz. cups
-  Primary colors bell tumblers
-  Pastel nesting mixing bowls w/lids
-  Pastel tumblers & matching cereal bowls
-  Hamburger keeper & press
-  Popsicle maker (never used)
-  green measuring spoons (which I use quite a bit)
-  salt & pepper shakers - white hourglass ones, almond/beige ones too
-  sugar & creamer w/push top lids
-  midgets (used for spices or small items)
-  round clear canister
-  cereal saver canister
-  two small yellow rectangle canisters
-  Harvest gold rectangular cake taker
-  round cake taker
-  seal and serve bowls
-  square plates that match mugs below
-  mugs and coasters (brown, orange, green, yellow)
-  freezer tape dispenser (empty)
-  condiment serving set
-  Millionaire shakers
-  round chip & dip server
-  jello mold
-  hot dog keeper
-  orange funnel
-  "gifts" you got for attending a Tupperware party:  spoon rest, orange peeler, strawberry picker, mini bowl w/lid keychain, lid cleaner, melon baller, toast tongs.
-  sewing/craft box - you will see people using as money boxes at garage sales - which is what I do too!   ;)

I'm sure I've left off something - but, you get the idea.  I have a lot of Tupperware!  Yet, it makes me happy to think that Tupperware has withstood the test of time.  They are well made products and still being used 30+ years after I bought them.

What's in your cupboards??  I bet y'all have at least ONE Tupperware product in your homes.

Any Tupperware stories to share?

I'm a child of the 70's and my favorite tupperware container to this day is the hamburger pickle container that allows you to pull the handle up to get pickles while the juice is strained.

I know, I'm weird!!

I have also inherited my mom's hamburger patty maker & containers & I love those too.

I have recently bought small tupperware containers that are 2oz. that I use to put salad dressing in to take to work, ALL other brands leak but not my tupperware  ;D

Just remembered from a toddler, my blue & red shape toy. The shapes were yellow. I'd play with that forever!!!!!!!

Now there are all kinds of "parties": sexy lingerie, candles, jewelry LiaSophia, Avon, etc etc.
I just don't go because I know I will not buy anything as prices are waaay to high and I can better spend the $$ someplace else.

I did go to a LiaSophia one a few weeks ago. Friend bought $300 worth of stuff. Me =$0

Maybe we need to start NEW parties - like recipe swap or something that doesn't involve you spending a heck of a lot of $$$.

BJ - I know what you mean about Lia Sophia jewelry . . . $$$

I've bought brand new Lia Sophia off of Ebay really cheap.  I could never afford to buy anything at a party.

Bucky - who has two pieces of Lia Sophia jewelry left from her garage sale, $20 for two retired pieces.   ;)
