Shani

Hi everyone,

I haven't been abe to get on my laptop recently and check the boards.

Two days ago I went to my Gp and obviously I have the flu.(Of course I couldn't be left behind and just had to join in with the 'Trend' LOL. :D)

He prescribed a cough syrup because I have a dry cough, very annoying.
Told me to put my face over a just boiled bowl of water with some Vicks in it(Minty lotion to open up your nose etc), for my sinuses.
And just some paracetamol for the fevers, on top of my painkillers.

Other than that: Stay inside and get in bed.
I'm sure that won't be a problem. ;D

My Bp was on the low side being only 9, while it usually is 11.8.

Knees and hands, feet, elbows etc have been acting up again too.
A lot of lower tummy pain-bladder.
Really hope friday will bring more insight about what's going on.(Rheumy appointment at the Children Rheumatology hospital)

I'm just trying to relax and entertain myself with Comedy movies/shows while in bed.
Gets my mind off things.
As stress obviously tends to make everything worse.

I hope everyone else is having a good day without too much pain. :-*

Good luck at your Rheumy app't. this coming week.

Stay in bed and rest up.

They must measure blood pressure differently where you live.  Here is it always stated as a number over another number.....120/80, or 140/90 , as examples.  Are you speaking of hematocrit, which has a range of 11-15?

Hope you feel better soon so you can get out and about with friends.

Hi Shani,

Hope you are feeling better real soon! This darn flu seems to be going around to everyone this year....rest up!

Shani

Thank you E-mommy.
Your kisses always make me feel better! ;D
I love ya.  :-* :-*

Thank you Inga.
And yes that's what I meant.
11-12 would be normal, 9 is very low, 13-14 is high.

Thank you Lynn.:)
Yes, it seems like it.
Hopefully it will pass soon, sure don't like those bugs/viruses.
I think we already have enough to keep us 'busy' daily. :o

Shani, I hope you get over it quickly.

Watching comedies is what Norman Cousins recommended for healing. He wrote a book about it. When I first got Fibro I did that for a couple of years. I also read humor books.

Oh, no! I have such a fear of the flu (had seasonal and H1N1 last yr!), that I was afraid to read your post!  ;D Get better!! Drink lots of fluids! Dr gave me Tamiflu AKA Poison in my case. YUCKY.

HEY... don't use too much Vicks INSIDE the nostrils. A friend did for a good while, went to the dr for shortness of breath. They did and x-ray and BEFORE biopsy told her it was "probably lung cancer"..OMG. They later found out it was a pool of Vapor RUb! Bizarre! ..So sorry to scare anyone..just use a wee bit.  ;)

Oh Gosh I sure hope you get to feeling better.  I had the H1N1 back in 09 and its terrible!

I am fighting the stomach virus that is going around and that is no fun either.

Take it easy on yourself and hope you feel better soon.
