I've applied my patch & today is a new day. I'm tired of feeling breathless & sick of Raynauds.

Hey Rachel well done, real proud of you honey, keep it up, and everyone is right, one day at a time, my prayers and hoorays are with you always.

When I went to see the clinic nurse last week she said no crave, no matter how bad, will last for more than a minute, and she is right, just try to distract yourself for that minute, and another goal achieved.

Day 9 today, still not smoked.  Went to clinic appt tonight and she re did my carbon thingy, have gone from 24+ down to below 6, that of a non smoker, I was sooo impressed with myself.

Nurse has had to change my patches for a different type as when I take then off my skin blisters and itches like mad, swells up, and then goes sort of purple pin pricks, she looked at the mark left from when I changed it this morning and insisted I stopped straight away as I am having a reaction to them and eventually my skin will just breakdown (just what I need). (I still have the purple bruising from the first patch I used 9 days ago.

She has re issued prescription for a different type of patch, if that reacts then she said about gum, lozenges or nasal inhalers I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

Any way will try new ones tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

Hubby also went tonight and he is quitting on Wednesday, so wish us well.

Mim, you're right on the "urge to smoke", in that it only lasts a few seconds & is gone. Thank goodness for that eh?
I'm sorry to hear the patch is causing a problem...darn!
Mine did the last time I tried. I'm not turning back if it happens again.
I've used commit lozenges & they work very well for me, but gave me hic-ups. The inhalers, seemed to imitate a cigarette & didn't break that "hand to mouth", that psychological thing, least not for me.
When you change your patch, are you placing it to another area? (not the same site)

I'll be thinking & praying for you & hubby.... my husband is going to be next

Now we have two "Stink Purty Girls"!!  You don't know it, but you made me cry.  My Grand Dad would be so proud if he knew his little compliment had helped like this.

Keep it up you two!! Mim I hope you and your hubby will not have to sleep in opposite sides of the house.     Seriously,
you are far enough ahead of him to have your moods level out.  Just remember you both will be irritable.  But when you get thru with this...the money you saved will buy a new car!!

Sure hope you can get the patch situation under control.  It makes it so much easier.
