Hello,

Day 16 - stilll not had one, still off the patches, my skin has finally stopped breaking down and started to heal now.

Hubby still off cigs too, had a really close call today, but he managed to resist.

Think the eye thing has thrown me more than I realised as I have found the last couple of days real hard, but will persevere.

Well done Rach, you and hubby are the bomb, keep it up.

Hugs

Purty but Porky

Hi Purty,
Don't worry about the Porky until you have your medical problems on an even keel.  We or almost all of us have been through it at one time or another.  I am still fighting it as you know.

If you can conquer smoking, this other battle will be a piece of cake,...........oops, maybe I should have used a different comparison.  Sorry.  :-[

Anyhow, Mrs. M, hang in there, there be better days acom'in.  Congrats! on the 18 day anniversary.

Hugs and God Bless,
Pooh

Hey Mim...
We like "Purty Porkie Stinkers"!!!!! ;D :D

You are all doing a fantastic job and I'm so proud of all of you.  Mim get some munchies, celery, rice cakes don't have many calories and satisfy the munching instinct, just get things that you can chew on.  It'll help.

Rach, I'm supposed to be doing exercises and stretches every day.  But I'm taking up the slack for my hubbie who is now suffering back problems so I feel like I'm getting the exercise I need.  So I'm skipping the exercise stuff.  I am stretching in the morning before I get up.  It really helps the morning stiffness.

I gotta get in shape so I can dance with the bad " Stinky Purty Group"!   :D :D

Ten days for me!!!!!!  I only get a couple urges a day, but they only last about 15-20 seconds.

Eight days for hubby!!!..I told him NO MORE BREADS... He bought a pack of ----(I not saying that dirty word)... you know! and I said..."Why??? Are you Freaking Nuts"??
He said he hid them...??? (why)
"You're not having to hide them from me. Cause I'm moooving on Flash, I don't need that stink". (heheheheh)
I call him Flash...cause he's slow movin... to my standards.  :)

He said he bought them, because he knows he can't smoke them. (what the heck is that?)

Well I think I'll go buy a Harley cause I know I can't drive one!

Mim... you're almost home!! Yippppeeeee!!!! I'm thinking about you girl...

Stink Purty all,
Rach

LenV

Rach,
Good to hear from you and it's great you are sticking with this!  I'm afraid hubby may be in denial about his smoking habits. :(  Tell him he simply has to toss those things out.  It is too tempting to give into the urge if they are handy.  I had to throw out the cigs, lighters and all the ashtrays.  It's necessary to get rid of anything that smells like tobacco.

Keep it up Rach!!  Your are doing great!! :)

"We got a winner folks!" Rach is another member of the "Stinking Purty Crave Free Gang"!! ;D ;D :D :D

Morning all,

Well 3 weeks today and have not given in.

Went out to a friends last night for dinner and had a couple of drinks and had a quick crave for a ciggie but managed to force it away by devouring a large amount of raspberry trifle - not a good move me thinks - anyway it helped that no one in the company I was with smoked after their meal.

I have been having very vivid dreams since I quit smoking (I assume it is connected) and have total recall of them.  I had the strangest dream last night I went shopping during lunchtime with my head teacher (as if) and during this she lit a cigarette and handed one to me and I lit it automatically, I then thought Oh I have given up, well I will just finish this one, no harm done.  I did not finish it - it tasted yuck -.  The strange thing is (a) I would not go shopping with my head teacher and (b) she does not smoke.

Hubby still off them.  I am so proud of him and his achievement, he has always been real heavily into his smoking so a major pat on the back for the love of my life.

Anyway enough of my nicotine starved mad ramblings, again thanks for all the encouragement and support.

How U doin ant murderer ?????

Love n Hugs

Mim,
Great minds do run on the same track!! :D  I thought of you this morning and I logged in and lo and behold!!  There's Mim!!  Wonderful to hear you are doing so well.  I am so proud of you and your hubbie.  Give him a big kiss and tell him he stinks purty!!  ;D

About your dreams,... I think that anytime there is anxiety or pressure on a person, they are more likely to dream about whatever is causing the anxiety.  Now why you threw the head teacher in there I'm not sure...  Dreams are weird and I always dream more when I'm anxious.  Guess we'll call it the nicotine devil trying to make sure you don't stink purty! ;)

Keep it up,
The nicotine devil chaser,
Billye
