Help Linda, How do I get my email address off website ?

Was told my email address did not show to websiters, though looking again think it is out there. Help me to get it removed from public eye.

Hi Joy and welcome to Sjogren's World.

If you are concerned that your email address shows on your member profile when you requested it be hidden, do not worry. It shows up when you are logged in, but only to you. For example, if I go to your member profile page, your email address says "hidden." I can't get your email address from the website in any way. I worried about the same thing when I joined.

Anyway, welcome, and hope things are going OK for you.

Thanks Genko and Ohiocat, that's what I would have said had I seen the post first LOL. I'm glad you checked, because, with moderator access, the address does show up for me, so it's good to know that you, as members, got the "hidden" message.

They are right, Joy, general members can't see your address, only you can. Any time you want to contact anyone else via the site, including moderators, you can click on their name to bring up their profile, and there will be a place where you can send that member a message. The "Report to Moderator" buttom will send a form e-mail to all of the moderators reporting the specific post you were viewing when you click the button, that's why you got the error message, it was a post under your own name.

I been trying to figure this out for a while now. Wanted to reply, but wasn't sure I understood, UNTIL NOW reading this!

You had me worried, I thought it was leading into another fog day!
