Hi Kathy, here are pictures of my horses  ;D

This is me riding "Enebro X" at a dressage competition last Autumn.

Me on Enebro again, with a friend who came to ride my other horse "Lincoln"  :D

And one of me riding Lincoln at a show last summer  :D

I just haven't had enough energy to go to any shows with them this year  :'( :'(

Jaygee,

Thanks for sharing these pictures...your horses are beautiful!

Ahh Jaygee, what memories you have brought back to me.  My daughter use to ride competition in both english and western.  I miss those days with her, but not the hours put in for them, nor the getting up a 3 a.m. to load horses that would rather still be asleep in the straw.   :D

The last show I watched her ride in was the Nationals in Pennsylvania.  She won quite a few honors in both classes and 3 states.  She had a beautiful quarter horse (Sunrise) she rode for western classes and a fabulous Arabian gelding (Aura) for english classes.

Thank you so much for the memories and good luck in the future with any you enter.

Hugs, Pooh

Great pictures! My daughter does dressage too and really enjoys it, although she has been so busy at work lately she had to put riding on hold for a couple of months. Hopefully she can get back to it soon.

Even if it is a stretch for you, doing something you love is so good for morale that it can be worth it. I hope you get to where you can get back to riding again soon. Animals are such good friends.

Glad you liked the pics  ;D

Hey, Pooh, your daughter sounds like a really talented rider.   I am not of that calibre at all!    I just have a little go, sometimes, at local events.  For me it is just a fun thing, and I don't have the talent to compete that often or well - I just go for the fun  :D.  Sadly, I haven't managed to go anywhere this summer.  As you say, the preparation is such hard work, too, and I simply haven't had the energy for it.  I get angry at myself sometimes, as I am also getting no younger, and I realise I have a limited amount of time to do stuff like this  :'(

However, I love my horses so much, and feel really priveleged that they got to come and live with me  ;D ;D ;D   They really are both such sweet characters.  This evening, as I approached the gate to their field, I called their names - they both galloped to the gate just to spend time being with me.  Moments like that, to me, are priceless, even if I didn't ride (they don't mind either way  ;)).     xx

Hey genko - so there are quite a few of us here who love horses!

Hope your daughter gets riding again soon, too.    ;D    xx
