TO ALL MY GRANDMA FRIENDS - AND OTHERS WHO BRAVED THE NEW TECH WORLD - ENJOY

THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANDMA

The computer swallowed grandma.
Yes, honestly it's true!
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.

It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.

In desperation, I asked Google,
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'

So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
My Grandma you should see,
Please 'Copy,''Scan' and 'Paste' her,
And send her back to me.

That was hilarious Pooh, and so typical of myself!

I have written numerous emails only to do something stupid  ( I still don't know what )  then  they  disappear!!

I then can't be bothered to rewrite it all again. Have done it on this site tonight , in answer to one of the threads..
                             Silly me, Dolly

Joy Cox

Hello Dolly Dimples, This one has made the rounds in my Granny World of friends. Consensus is that it was time to show it to Grandpa. I did, and he, too, thinks 'If the shoe fits, wear it!' And, it fits this Hillbilly Granny and Grandpa PAIR!!!!! :D :D

This computer world amazes me as do many other things our young'uns do..............and say!!!!!

Just Wondering, Dollie... do you remember Jed and Granny Clampet (sp) on Beverly Hillbillies TV  show many years ago?

Thanks to all as I have enJOYed my time on The Social Hour tonight.  Now if I could just figure out how to get the font size button to work above and make the font bigger as I type. You know, the size it is when you read post. It's hard to hold my binoculars with one hand and type with the other. Enough foolishness!!!!   'Sr. Whiney Hiney' ???

Hi Joy,  I certainly do remember the Hillbilllies, a really funny show too..

I certainly wish that I'd been born much later, I think computers are one of the eight wonders of the world! But sooo techy!

You had me chuckling as I tried to imagine you at the PC with your spyglass, in hand as you type.

I did use to know how to change the font, but brain fog comes on so easily that I will have to look around for my book of tips
that I have picked up from different sites...as Iv'e forgotten where I put that too!

yep, we do get some enjoyment from this place eh?
                                                                                                               Thanks Dolly
