Just sitting here and wondering why I have no spoons this morning. Did the spoon fairy forget to give me my supply this am?   Did someone come in and steal them before I got up?   OH wait maybe the spoon fairy is just late. Maybe I should just sit here and wait, as I dont have to go to work today.  But what if I fall asleep  in this chair and fall off?  Oh well hubby here to me a pillow and cover for a nap.

Still waiting!!!!!!

I dont have a spoon fairy but an odd sock fairy  ;D ;D ;D ;D

My kids have hundreds of socks that have lost their other half.....   doesnt bother my daughter though as she wears odd socks!! The more noticeable the better as far as she is concerned  ;D ;D ;D

I have a fork monster that comes through every so often to devour them, as I don't have small ones anymore to blame and my husband denies, one can only assume!  >:( ???

I have a time monster who makes days stretch into weeks when I'm looking forward to something (like Amsterdam next week!!) and whisks whole days up and away when I have jobs that need to be done!  And nights when I can't sleep seem a fortnight long, but when I'm exhausted the alarm clock shocks me awake just moments after I seem to be in bed. ;D

Hi Beverly J.,

I hope that spoon fairy showed up and gave you some extras for the day. ;D  I used up half my supply just getting out of bed, but I have to say the day went very well after I took my morning meds and had a cup of decaf.

I am however, searching for enough spoons to get me through preparing dinner and cleaning up.  I spent the morning with my best friend going to Weight Watchers, then lunch, then shopping.  I will definitely be in bed early tonight, but it was worth it.  One I got going, I seem to roll along quite well.  At least with the 40 mg. of Lasix I have to take every morning, I was forced to find time to sit down and rest  ::) several times while we were out.  :D  It does have it's advantages.  :D

Take care and I sure hope your spoon supply arrives early tomorrow, for today, just rest and relax.

Hugs, Pooh

I seem to have issues with a certain set of glass desert cups (small for certain types of custard); sometimes I'll have all six, other days, I can only find two or three.  And here I was blaming the flea bitten fur ball for their disappearance.  Now I know that it's the custard cup fairy!!!! :D ;D  Bad fairy! ;) :)

Like most of us, my "spoons" are in short supply, and I agree, that nasty fairy does spirit them away sometimes. It seems she has a partner, the "drinking glass fairy" because my stock of tumblers goes up and down like the temperature! I just hope the "tea cup fairy" doesn't learn my address...NO ONE messes with my tea cups!

For those of you not familiar with the "Spoon Theory", it's a beautiful way to explain to those not suffering from this or any other disease. It's a wonderful way to inform them of what your day is like.

The young lady that wrote this suffers terribly from Lupus, but the theory applies to all of us with confusing diseases.

Pooh...what an incredible and well put story.    The spoon theory describes life for us so well.    I've often put it in the "currency" term meaning I only have so much energy currency to spend but I like the spoon theory better.

I haven't lost any spoons, but I'm short a few marbles ;D

Epson - LMAO (as usual)

Beverly - how I dearly got a kick out of this post.  While I may never have the amount of spoons that I used to have.  I make up with an abundance of smiles from posts like this one.   :D

Some days the heat and humidity just sap the strength right out of me.

Is there a union for the spoon fairy geld?  It the fairy shorts me a few spoons today, shouldn't that mean I get more for tomorrow?
OHHH WISHFUL THINKING! 8)

If one has the knife fairy stop by during the night, did you know you can turn the handle of a spoon or fork into a knife?  Works well with butter, pb & j.

I have lost quite a few spoons over the years. Especially when the kids were little. The Cool Whip containers, glass jars and spoons wandered away.

I got smart a couple of years ago and bought about 6-8 spoons at Walmart, I think!!! They are not the best spoons and were not spendy. Something like 2/$1.00. I have not lost any of them either. My hubby doesn't play outside with Cool Whip containers and spoons. lol

I can't stand being short of spoons cause it screws up when to wash dishes. Everything has to last til I am ready to wash dishes. Irish ;D
