I have been taking Enbrel for about a year now, and have had some reduction in my fatigue levels while using it. Over the past month, though, I haven't been feeling well - painful hands and feet, elevated temp, and a return to my previous nasty fatigue levels.

I found out that I have drug-induced lupus. Positive ANA, but C3 and C4 normal, kidneys and liver studies OK. Dr. said that the treatment is simply to stop the drug that caused it (most likely the Enbrel) and keep an eye on things. While I understand that I can't take Enbrel anymore, I am bummed that I am back to my pre-treatment fatigue levels.

I am wondering if anyone else has had to deal with DIL? I am also wondering what other medication options I might have to recreate the good results that I had with Enbrel? I am currently taking plaq, prednisone, and methotrexate.

Julia, I also take methotrexate, plaquenil and prednisone and have for almost 2 years.  Am weaning off the prednisone from 5 mg/day and now to 3 mg/day.........doing 1 mg a month.

I am also starting Lyrica as soon as my docs can get their brains together and figure out how to get prior approval.  Seems you need to have tried several other drugs before ins will pay for this.  I tried some samples, but not enough to know if it will help.  Lucy
