Hey,
Just found out my daughter needs major surgery asap. It's on the 8th. A hysterctomy plus exploratory surgery. Major fibroids were found in here uterous plus a growth on her one ovary and one on one of her kidneys. She has the best female surgeon in town but I am very scared. Her Dad died young 42yo. When they finally opened him up he was so full of cancer he died a short time later. My daughter has always had a week immune system. She just had her third baby 9 weeks ago. Thats how fast these uterine growths came on. They said my exhusband died from complications of years of undiagnosed Lupus including the cancer. I am in shock. She is scared She thinks she won't be herself, a woman after. I just ordered a book on Amazon for successful surgery recommended by Dr Christian Northrup who I am a fan of, but I know I need to do much more of course. Since my Mom was a distant alcoholic I have difficulty with physical closeness  with my girls now that I am older tho not with my grandbabies. I woke this morning and all I could think of was wanting to take Juli in my arms.
Thanks for listening

What an awful situation for your daughter to be in, especially so soon after childbirth. The Hysterectomy Association in the UK is a very supportive site.  I'm sure they will welcome you or Juli and give you as much advice and support as you need.

I will pray for you both, and for her children.

kathylee, Boy, what a shock to hear that news. It is probably a blessing in disguise that she just had a baby as she may not have had as much doctors care. Seems like after childbirth and the 6 week checkup things can be found just by virtue of having to go to the doctor.

I will keep her in my prayers. Has she ever been checked for any autoimmune diseases? Glad to hear that she has such a good surgeon. The waiting is really hard at times like these. Always know that you can "let it all out here" when you feel overwhelmed. Irish ;D

Hi Kathylee

I'm so sorry about what your daughter is going through and what you are going through on her behalf. Anything majoe like this is hard to cope with when you're feeling bad yourself too.
She is lucky to have you because I'm sure you'll make sure her new baby is OK and help her through this.

take care - Scottie

Kathylee, I can honestly say I know what you are going through.  I went through almost the exact same thing with my youngest daughter when she was 41.  I will keep you and she in my prayers and I pray all goes well with the surgery.  It did for my daughter and I hope it does for yours.

Please know that you can come here and let it out anytime you need to.  We are all here for you.

Hugs and God Bless,
Pooh

I will keep your daughter in my prayers.  I know this is a difficult time for you both.  No matter how distant in the past hug her close now  -  she needs a Mom's hug for sure.

kathylee

Yes.....its time for hugs. I called her and told her I'd figured out how to be at home with her two days after the surgery. Thank Heaven for therapists....mine is good,,,very gentle and kind. She'll help me thru this.

Kathylee, I will be praying for your daughter and your whole family as they go through this very frightening and emotional time. My Mom wasnt a big hugger either but I never doubted that she loved me. I am sure your children are certain of your love whether you hugged them or not. Again, I will keep you all in my prayers.
