Getting out of Dodge

Hi folks,
Hubby and I, along with another couple are heading out into the Nevada desert for a few days of R&R.  We got a wonderfully CHEAP price of $149/person which includes air fare (So. Bend to Wendover NV) and hotel for 3 nights.  We'll be in one of the small gaming towns and I am really looking forward to this.  Seems like it went from winter here to torrential rains, all within a couple of weeks.  Just seems that way.

I've got my eye drops packed, Tranquileyes, Panoptx goggles, sun visor and I'm really, really excited.  Won't be able to sleep tonight.  Packing my swim suit as it'll be in the high 90's.  I love to swim and our hotel has 3 pools.  Some inside and some outside.  I'll be careful of being straight out in the sun, though.  I tell ya' packing all our pills is a real pain, but that's about the only thing you can't forget.  Most anything else can be bought if need be.  Hubby is not happy that I'm making him take his CPAP machine.  We've not taken it on a plane before and he's not thrilled.  That will be his "carry on" piece of luggage.  Hopefully, I'll be a rich gal when I get back and make a big donation to Sjogrens World.

Wowee Lucy, good for you.  I've been to some of the smaller casinos but I've never been to Vegas. I know I would love it.

I tease my son, when I see him getting on or off a plane with his CPAP, making him look like an important business man with a high end technical briefcase! Since he used to travel with only his backpack or a tote, it sure looks different! It's probably a nicer piece of luggage than any I own.

Lucy and Scottie, I noticed you both take your tranquileyes on the plane. Do you use the cold or hot therapy? How do you prepare them on the plane? I just flew cross country and had mine with me, but then I was in a quandry about quite how to use them in the air. I love them at other times.

Hi - i just made mine damp with bottled water. It just cut down on the dryness in the cabin.  (Long enough flight to sleep on too)
