It can take 4 months to get a GP where I live and that is covering a large part of the state.  I ran into a 30 something gal who works with doctors and it took her forever to find a doctor who had a true grasp on autoimmunes and in her case she has sjogren's and something else that is pretty serious in her head.  I forget what she called it.
She had her lip split and it was bleeding.  Do you think even one of the doctors acknowledged her dilemma?  No.  She finally asked one of the docs if her could take out the stitches and suggest what she use to help her heal. At that point a doctor did say "oh that must hurt" but he did remove the stitches and gave her some cream.
Since she was young and had kids she has to work but where are the doctors who care?  And now anything you say to a doctor the doctor is going to put it in your chart which is no longer paper but all on line.
