SJS Flare?

I saw this term "Sjogrens Flare" and am now curious. So, I had mild symptoms for ten years of SJS. Then in July I was sick with something else. August came and what seemed like out of the blue, my SJS greatly worsened. The main thing by far is mega dry mouth. My eyes are slightly drier (I am most grateful this is not worse) , I have some more fatigue and brain fog as well though. Might this be a SJS "flare?" If so, is there any hope of it getting better? Might it get better even without medication? It's been five months. Has anyone had something that was truly a "flare?" Truly only worsened for a finite period of time?  Thanks.
SLE, Sj.  Syndrome, IC, Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, ITP (low platelets)... Various meds and lots of vitamins. Trying to eat healthy; seems to help a little.

Sounds like a flare although I have to admit that with my 5 autoimmune issues I sometimes don't know which one of them to blame. I had my IVIG stopped due to my kidney disease and I am now having a whole lot of things hitting me all at once and have decided that they are flares.

The one thing about Sjogrens is that many times these flares will leave as fast as they came. My dry eyes are treated with Restasis and they will have times when they feel much better. My mouth has been dry for so many years and very much to blame for me losing all my teeth.

The neuropathy wanes off and on and the body aches come and go bu never leave entirely. II know that the change in the weather and the cold and high humidity this winter have really made me ache in all by bones. My heating pad is met good friend again. Hope you can get to feeling better. Pilocarpine helps with the dry mouth and I such on sugar free cough drops and sometimes the regular ones as I can take the taste of them better than a lot of the hard candy, etc. out there. meirish
