Headaches after stress?

I had a few difficult days recently with a relative visiting - I found the time extremely stressful.

Afterwards I thought I'd got through it OK, but about a week later I got some bad headaches recurring over several days.   Obviously I will talk to my doctor if they continue, but I wondered if any of you have had this experience?   Thank you.
Dry eyes (MGD), nose, mouth, occasional labyrinthitis,  dry skin , mouth ulcers, constant but fluctuating fatigue, IBS.  Blood tests and Schirmers negative,no Sjogrens dx yet.   Omega 3 algal oil, multivitamins, Evolve eye drops, Xailin eye ointment,  moisturiser (Instituto Espanol 10% urea).

Having relatives stay with you for a few days is stressful. I have experienced it several times. I do believe it is easier to to have friends stay. Relatives are more picky and we all tend to expect things from each other.

With that being said, it would not be a surprise if anyone had a bad headache. Stress affects everyone different and it affects us differently depending on the type of stress. Some thing cause immediate headaches and then again there are headaches that hit after the stress is over.

I would expect that you have gone to a doctor if you are having headaches over a long period. It is always good to pay attention as to how long a headache or other physical ailment takes place. Most things are not life threatening to dangerous but when they are affecting how we feel and our activities we need to make sure we find out why.

There can always be a reason other than "nerves" or "stress" and we need to be aware of this. Headaches can be from sinus infections, etc so sometimes we get up and know why our head aches if we have an infection of viral illness. Good luck. meirish

Many thanks meirish for your thoughts about this.

I've noticed before, since starting with the Sjogrens symptoms, that after a stressful event (in one case, a holiday!) I seemed to get some kind of neurological reaction afterwards.   Once it was finger twitches.   I imagine headaches too might be a kind of neurological reaction, Sjogrens seems random and mysterious in many ways.

The bad headaches have stopped for the time being, I occasionally get a twinge, but not like what I had previously.   Of course I'll go to the doctor if things continue or get worse.   (Though trying to get a doctor's appointment will put my stress levels up too, ha ha!).

Hope you're doing OK.   Thank you again. :)
