Holidays coming at last!

Hooray, We're going on a 6 night cruise in Jan, in port 2 days where my folks live & other relies.
More relies at another port we hope to see.
Can't wait to have a real holiday
Radiologist specialist & work colleagues are very pleased about our cruise to have a break & get away from everything!

2 days to go before we sail & get away!

It's called a rock n roll cruise (music in lounge), hope it doesn't apply to the sea lol

A week after our cruise I begin 3 weeks of daily radiation on the parotid gland.
I have my face mask made ready.
Our daily outing will be traveling a fair distance to the hospital

I'm informed the radiation will cause the parotid gland to cease producing saliva altogether, not nice.
I've also an appt to see a speech therapist as the radiation can some times affect the throat.
Mouth ulcers are expected during treatment so my diet may be sloppy food!
We'll see how things go.

With 2 weeks holiday & 3 weeks treatment I've 5 weeks off work, away from the office, hooray.
