Well, well, well!  After all these years...after all the turmoil that I have endured....I am proud to announce I got my first social security check this week.  Really I did!  Who could imagine it could take so long for someone that almost died several times.  Of course, they did not release all the back money (and said they have to give it out in increments) but the fact that this day has finally come I can have a small celebration...a big celebration (I deserve that)!  I could not travel by plane but I think I will take a train ride to Washington at least the scenery will be awesome!

Thanks everyone for telling me to never give up and keep pushing!  The judge said I did a great job representing myself.  i think I will start helping others out here to know that their cases can be heard sooner than what mine was.  There are code words that have to be used and this journey taught me a lot.

Peace and blessings,
Angelancer

Thanks everyone!  I didn't get medicaid.  I think because of my age I don't qualify not sure but I will be working on the whole medical as well.

angeldancer.. Kudos to you

Amazing how complicated things we asuume are simple and straightforward really are.
And think of all those who do not/ can not continue and give up.

Yes.. learning how to do things.. leaving a 'paper trail', key words.
All of this when we could barely stand.. literally.
I know for myself there are still times when I can barely get out of bed to get a glass of water (and I am doing better..LOL) .. so I have a bottle next to bed.. we learn out work arounds/ adaptations.

I would love to have been the fly on the wall listening to you at the hearing!

Instead of sour grapes.. we take our experience and give it to others to turn it into champagne..lol.

Each time you give what you did.. it celebrates your achievement... each and every-time!!

Medicaid: not defined by race, age, nor religion, etc. .. just income. The sooner you get Medicaid ---> the sooner you are eligible for Medicare. Medicaid covers more, such as dental. Check your state.. my information is old, so may not be accurate. Your trip to east coast for medical appt is deducatable.. should you need to file for taxes. (Bit late in the year tallying expenses, but, maybe another reader did not know that)

Nice 'Dancing dinosaur" .. that looks complicated.

Congratulations, angeldancer! That's quite an accomplishment. I imagine you must be very relieved.

I hope you enjoy your train ride. I find traveling by train to be much more comfortable and relaxing than traveling by plane.

Are you getting Social Security Disability?  I thought most states tie that to Medicaid?

But what do I know....I simplify things in my mind and am so often wrong.

You deserve it all Miss Dancer!
