  hello to all.

I know spring is here not b/c of the calendar and groundhog.

I know it's spring b/c:

I hear the spring peepers

the Canadian geese are fighting over territory

the birds are singing their happy songs before daybreak

Maple trees buds are ready to burst open

bulbs are up.

Can I be wrong about this ???????????????

After that harsh winter already have the gardening itch.
Went out to check what the deer have left.
Check to see which perennials are showing life in the beds.

Picked up some 'free' compost at stable and added to small compost pile I started last year.

Want to cut out old canes from forsythia before leaves show...
But, while sun is out... it is 28 degrees. (NJ)

Eyetodry, what part of the world do you live?
It hit the upper 30's here in north Florida. No complaints from me though. I'm just tickled pink to see the sun!!! I am not too fond of the heat that's coming our way or all the thunderstorms/lightning........ I like weather just like this.

It's beautiful outside. We might go eat lunch at a nice place about 45 minutes from here on the Gulf. I've been cleaning out 6" stacks of old mail out of my home office that completely covered my desk....... Aarrrrrgh!!!

I was going to ask where you live!!! WE had all the snow melt and then it snowed again. It was not too cold today, but the wind blew 40 MPH/ I went to the grocery store and the dirt from the parking lot would stick to your teeth. Yum Yum! Irish

I have two cats running through the house like a pack of dogs are chasing them.  Nothing chasing them. They are just acting screwie and do when Spring is here.

I got robins and lots of birds out now. Nice to hear them in the morning.

susanep

I love hearing all the birds too.

I have noticed a lot of the little yellow dandelions. Has anyone ever made dandelion tea? Is it ok for us to drink?

rose bushes are full of leaves now - waiting on the first blooms. Woodpecker has been tap tap tapping away, already a wren came onto my porch door to play peek a boo...spring is HERE!!

re: dandelion tea - supposed to be able to ingest dandelion parts - search engine is your best option susenep. I'd be reluctant around here to pull from the yard - mainly as landscapers spray weed killer on them.

I'm in northern England and spring is definitely here. Today we line dried two complete sets of bed linen, which is a huge achievement!
