The reason I asked is because we always watch the weather and there have been so many storms predicted all over the country. It rained so hard in Arizona this past week and there are snow storms predicted in the Dakotas and northern MN.

I live in southern MN (general area) and we have had some rain and ice but it did not get nearly as bad as they predicted. We are just glad to get a little moisture once in a while as we are in severe drouth here.

MN has had some areas where the wells are drying up and also the papers have shown where people have had to spend as much as 40,000$ to fix their basements that were sinking with the house separating fromo the blocks. Really massive damage that is not covered by home owners. Like who would have thunk!!!

Soooo, I am just curious cause with all the other bad news on TV the weather isn't always covered like it should be. Thanks. Irish ;D

Rain in Arizona is a potential problem, if it is a lot. Flash floods can be a problem. We'd love to have some of it here in Southern Colorado. It is finally snowing, and we sure hope for a lot more. Otherwise, we are going to be in a world of hurt this summer for water.

Here in Central Illinois we are certainly having a roller coaster of weather . . . . On January 21 we started out with 7 degrees and got to a high of 15.  Woohoo!!  ;)

Sunday, Jan. 27th we were suppose to get ice, but it went North and South of us.  Monday, it was very foggy all day long. Yesterday, Jan. 29, our high was 64 degrees with heavy rain, thunderstorms and winds at 30-35 mph.  This morning, we started out at 40 degrees and occasional rain . . . as the day progresses, we're suppose to drop into the 20's, have occasional wind gusts up to 40 mph and get snow!!   :o

Tomorrow, our low is suppose to be -2, with a high of 16!!!!   :-\

It's no wonder everybody is sick!!

We've been lucky so far, and have had less than 2" of snow this winter (NOT complaining) - the rain has helped the farmers, as the fields are still suffering from last years drought.

Stay warm and dry as best you can . . . and stay safe in the snow and ice.

Bucky, our weather sounds about like ours.  That makes sense because we live only an hour north of Ind/Ill border not far from Lake Michigan.   We are way down on our snow prediction.  Not good for farmers and we had that problem last summer.  Lucy

Yesterday with the wind chill factor, it was-45 degrees.  And snowing.  The roads are just sheer ice too.

By the weekend it should be around freezing, so that's a 45 degree difference.  We are a tough bunch up here!  :D

Our weather in the Pacific Northwest is pretty stable.  Most days are dark, gloomy, and drippy.  Some days it rains, others not, but still dark and drippy. Did I mention how dark it is?  The temperature most days ranges from a low of 38 to a high of 42 (which still feels cold with the high humidity).  Once in awhile we get a cold, sunny day.  Everyone runs outside and says how wonderful the weather is.

Not bad.  Not good.  Stable, as in sameness.

Oh, Irish, it is cold in Kentucky this week!

We've had a couple of inches of snow, some ice and before it got cold, and had the warm front that brought some tornado watches and warnings. . We were very lucky since there was some wind damage in parts of eastern Kentucky.  For a day or two it was actually 67 and 70 degrees!  Now it's 15...brrrrrrr.

It's always a "mixed bag" around here.   ;) I hope it's not been too cold and nasty for everyone else.

It's nearing the end of summer down here in OZ and it's been VERY hot in Sydney.

While it's common to have many day's in the 30'sC (86-104F). In Jan we had two extremely hot days 45c (113F) and 48c (118F). We were away camping at the beach on both the hot days and it was absolutely oppressive heat.

Over the past week, the whole East coast of Australia's weather has been effected by a rain from a former tropical cyclone. Many parts of Queensland and Northern New South Wales are flooded. Some people's homes were washed away by the force of the flood waters.

This was us as well. Although our weekend did not find 0 degree temps, just balmy summery -20s. We have so much snow there are 8 feet snowbanks in our yard from having the yard pushed out twice--and hubby tried to shovel off the rough. Well, it is halfway up the first floor of the house and he only got a small part of it shovelled. We have about 30 inches of snow up there. He is a huge young guy and it took 3 hours to get a very small portion done.

We are going to have SO much water here our basements are all leaking and gross. Where it will all go I have no idea  :-\

So many plaaces are having way too much water, and here in my area we would kill for a good blizzard and abouat 10 inches of snow.We had a little snow last eveing---2-4 inches and today it is so clean and white out. We need so much more snow and spring rains to replentish our parched land. Only time will tell what the future will bring and we will have to adjust!!! But it ain't easy. The lakes are down so much also.

Lake Superior is down many inches as is Lake Michigan. The lakes in our area are down as much as 18 inches which is a whole lot of water!!!IRish

It's been a very odd winter here in north west TN..  It will be freezing for a few days then be in the 60's for a few days.. Then it will switch each day from cold to hot.. And we've been having lot's of showers, not enough to help very much with the drought but more than enough to make my bones ache.. Especially my knee, i've had a hard time walking on it because of the pain..

As much as I hate summer i'll be glad when it gets here just so the weather will stop changing so much..

I live in Northeast Arkansas.  I have the same crazy weather as Iris.  My daughter lives in Vermont.  They are expecting a blizzard this weekend with 12"-24" of snow and lots of cold wind.  Too cold for me!!

I live in Georgia. North East Georgia. Cold for a few days, then warm days. Been getting a lot of rain lately. This has been  mild winter..We had that storm come through here last week. Caused wind damage, flooding and tornados in other areas. Luckily we had strong winds, but no damage...
