So my neighbors play this game online called world of warcraft...games at our age I know right  :o they got me into it.

You think kids like 8 to 15 turns out there is a whole community of over 21 adults that play, its quite fun actually and it gets my mind off symptoms. And when the weather is not nice to my dryness I can sit in my humidified room and play. You just have to remember to not play to long and stare at the monitor I think we all know that by now. But before I would veg out in front of the TV and stare mindlessly at it, now at least I am interacting with something.

I still go for walks and try to ride a bike when I can, some days are good some are very bad. I hate how you cant really plan anything because you never know how you are going to feel. So what do you guys do to relax and have fun?

THE BRIT

I am completely addicted to Plants versus Zombies, it is really silly, but I have to play it on a regular basis.  I got it from the Animal Planet website which also has some good games on.

Iris

I'm addicted to mafia wars on facebook... I don't play it as much as I used to but I still find myself going on facebook every morning to play it for half an hour or so..  ::)

Be careful with WoW. I have a friend that looses 10-16 hours per day with that game. She wonders why she has severe headaches.

:o 10 to 16 hours a day! How can you sit that long...well never mind I have had days where I am so sick and weak I dont pull my butt off the sofa for hours lol

But yes I can see the potential, I find I do seem to lose track of time chatting it up with people online in game, and just exploring the worlds. I will def have to watch out and pace myself. I see the company that makes the game has a control you can set for a certain amount of playtime, and then they disconnect you I think. I guess its there for parents to monitor kids playtime, couldnt hurt to set it for myself too though lol

I personally have never played that, so judge this post accordingly, but I know at least 15 people who spend 6 hours every Sunday playing WoW. So there must be something to it. I also have to give a word of caution though one of my friends blew his scholarship playing that game.

IMHO the people who get sucked into it for 12 hours at a time on a daily basis do it to get away from the problems they face in life. Most people have nothing to worry about when playing WoW as they have a life they have to get back to at any given moment. The person who got sucked into WoW was very antisocial, eccentric, pessimistic, etc. When he played WoW he could get away from all of that and be someone else. If something got him down he would run home and play for a while.

In other words, the only people who need to worry about getting sucked into WoW have much bigger issues to deal with. I think the game has just got a bad wrap for ruining people's lives because with so many people playing at any given  time there is bound to be some crazies in the mix.

I prefer my video games violent and politically incorrect which is an entirely different can of worms... This game made my kid do this and so on. Give me a break already, if you're worried about a game turning your kid into a robbing, raping, murdering psychopath don't let him or her play them for God's sake!

LOL Anthony ..I used to be a Counter Strike/ Socom/ fps type girl. But I find my dry eyes interfere with my reaction/ response/targeting abilities. I went to mmos because its easier for me to play them and if I have to close my eyes for a bit its usually not tragic and resulting in a game loss.  Now I was watching my neighbor play GW2 the other night, that looks interesting, lots of pvp.
