Hi fellow Soggies     

It's a brand new month  -  September 2012.  Along with this new month comes some new birthdays and anniversaries.

We'd like to celebrate the occasion with you - so, if you want, tell us the date of your celebration.

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to our members who celebrate the occasion in September.

I'm always glad to have a celebration that involves cake and/or presents!

This is not a conventional anniversary, but one that is important for our family. The 9/9 will be a year since my nephew Ben survived his horrific injuries in Afghanistan. I will do an update thread about his life since then nearer the time.

To the people who prayed for Ben, you can feel very proud that you helped to save his life, and that he is about to reach his anniversary.

We will all be thinking of Ben on the 9th. It is a wonderful day to celebrate. I'm proud to share the month with him - the 22nd is my b'day.

Thank you. The 22nd is a very special day for us too: my eldest grandchild will be 7. He was born on what would have been my grandad's 100th birthday.

Happy birthday/anniversary to everyone celebrating this month. I would normally forget mine on the 26th but a friend born on that day will be coming over on the 29th to celebrate an we are having a BBQ pot luck since we know a lot of the same people. We never mention that its our birthday just a party.

Joe, that sounds a good arrangement. Is there any particular reason that you don't pay more attention to your own birthday?

I tend to get involved in what I am doing. Before I got married, I had trouble remembering All birthdays and anniversaries. It would surprise me to receive birthday cards and I would have to ask if it was September. I did not want to forget our anniversary like on the Flintstones or other radio and TV shows. So I chose dominion day. The name seemed appropriate and it was close to the fourth of July.

So glad to be a part of celebrating Ben coming through all of his injuries one year later! I cant believe its been a whole year...he has been through so much and is such an inspiration to many. So proud of him as I'm sure everyone is...also very thankful for his service to our country.
