Just got really scared

Couldn't get hold of my elderly uncle on the telephone so phoned the minister of the church he goes to and she said he'd had a fall and been taken unto a nursing home.  For a while there I thought he was no longer with us but just spoke to him and he's ok. 

Just got scared there for a while.  He's the only family member I have left.

Glad to hear that your uncle is ok and recuperating from the fall! I can imagine how scared you were when you couldn't get in touch with him....but glad you have been able to reach him now!

Thanks guys.  I am still actually really shaken up and not in the best of moods now either (feeling very snappy).  Nobody informed me if this.  they should have done.  Plus just sent a text to a friend who doesn't seem all that bothered.  He actually boring me ****less recently.  I swear he'd be a great natural alternative for a general anaesthetic.

Maybe you could use your "friend" as a sleep medication? Just call, and be sure to hang up while you are talking (not him) and don't let him know that you are about to fall asleep...
