My friend needs your prayers

Diane works with me, and has been having dental/sinus problems for a couple of years. I have suspected she might have SJS, and mentioned this to her, but it has never been mentioned by her GP or dentist.

Recently, Diane had a CT scan, which apparently showed that her wisdom tooth roots were somehow in her sinus. She was told she needed to have the wisdom tooth out in hospital. However, yesterday, she saw the consultant surgeon at the hospital, who told her the problem is not her wisdom tooth. He suspects she has either MS or a tumour, and she's absolutely terrified - understandably.

The consultant is going to arrange for her to have an MRI scan, but we don't know when. In the meantime, she is in that horrible place we are all familiar with.

So, the title says it all - please remember her in your prayers.

Sending cyber hugs and positive thoughts to your friend, Kathy.   Hope all goes well for her tests.   xx

I have put her in my prayers.  Gosh durn you hate it when the doctors scare you with the "we think" but they don't know.

I had about two years of "we are pretty sure it is some type of lymphoma" and if you suddenly feel really bad or collaspe, hurry to the hospital. I can really sympathize.  Also you hate it when the drs disagree!   Two of my symptoms that turned out to be SJS were lotsa teeth cavaties and sinus infections 5-7 times per year too.

Just tell her that they don't really know yet and are just checking things out.  Everyone who is hit with a "life changing" diagnosis, takes awhile to accept it. It is always a big shock and it will take awhile for her to "resolve it in her mind" - but she will be able to.
Good Luck!

I can understand why she is so afraid...I think any of us would be if in the same situation. Positive thoughts and prayers being sent her way....I hope she gets some answers soon!

Thanks, my lovely friends. Diane will be so pleased that you are remembering her in your prayers.

She has a teenage son, who developed a very serious illness as a toddler. She swears that it was the circle of people praying for him that made him better.

Kathyx,

One can truly understand how terrified Diane must be.  Doctors shouldn't be allowed to say something like that and then just leave you hanging.

Diane is lucky to have you as a friend, Kathyx . . . . . I'm sure you are a comfort to her.

Sending good vibes & prayers Diane's way.

Hi Cheryl

No, Diane is still waiting for her MRI appointment. We are in the UK, so she can't schedule it herself. However, she's doing okay - the prayers are obviously helping.

Good, then we will keep them coming!

Thanks Lynn. Please can you think of my aunty too? SHe had ovarian cancer, which was sorted about ten years ago. Now she's being tested for bowel cancer, and is understandably very concerned.
