Gorgeous sunshine!

I went with 2 friends and dog to the beach at Crosby, Merseyside today.  It was glorious!  Bright blue skies, sunshine and beautiful sea air.  We walked out amongst the Antony Gormley statues (google image 'Another Place', Crosby staues to see it) and it was amazing.  We were looking straight up the Mersey with all the docklands industry on the left, mountains of North Wales in the distance and all the powerful windmills out to sea.

There were some parts that were really muddy though.  Ed, my friend's Springer Spaniel, had a whale of a time but by the time we got back he looked like a seal!  I had kept thinking I wanted a dog and was almost ready to cave in to the kids' persistent requests - but after seeeing the mess today, I'm not sure!

I'm worn out now but it was worth it to get some sunshine and exercise.  Hope you are all having a good Sunday and that the sunshine visits you too XX Ailsa

It was a glorious day here on the west coast of California, too.  We've only lived here on the Monterey Bay since September.  I still feel awed every time I look at that beautiful bay.  It's quite a bit cooler here than it was in South Texas, where we used to be stationed, so I was thrilled when it got to the high 60s today.  I'm waiting for hubby to finsih his exams on Tuesday, then we'll go walking on the beach and go up to Santa Cruz to the boardwalk next weekend.

I ended up helping some friends move. When we were done I checked the temp. It was 63 degrees. It was a very nice day.

I've never been to that beach, but my friend has. She calls it her favourite of all UK beaches. One day I will have to visit it. Thank you for reminding me - and I'm glad you had a wonderful day.

The moors were pretty spectacular on my way home from work today. I will miss them when I have my surgery next week, and won't be able to drive for a while.

Sounds like a lovely day you had, harrigan!    :)

Hi Kathy - is it the bladder surgery next week?  Hope it goes well and you recover quickly but still get lots of waiting on and pampering.  What day do you go in and how long do you think you will be in for?  Let us know and we can send lots of healing hugs and positive thoughts your way.

it will seem strange to be not driving for a while but hope it isn't too restricting and you are able to relax at home. Thankyou XX Ailsa
