Mother would have been 100 yrs. old today. She lived to be 92 and passed away due to pneumonia AFTER a fall from her chair. Died 3 weeks before 9-11... Having lived in NY City many years, she and Daddy took much pride in the Twin Towers. My Father helped build the towers

CERTAINLY A SPECIAL LADY!!! And, she has set the bar high for me.... :P  My birthday is January 27....

My daughter and I flew to NY a several years ago for the Thanksgiving weekend to celebrate her 16th birthday as I once celebrated by dining on the 102nd floor in the Twin Towers with my Mother.   :-*

How wonderful you had your mother for such a long time.  She sounds like a beautiful woman.  That was great that you and your daughter celebrated your 16th birthday at the same place, how special!  Happy "birth" day to your mom.  Even after they are no longer here on earth with us it is nice to celebrate that day because that is when they came into the world.   ;D

What a wonderful tribute Joy to a great Mother.  You should feel so blessed to have had your Mother for all those years.

I lost my dear Mother at age 57 to a massive cerebral hemmorage.  I not only lost my Mom, but my best friend.  She and I were very close and shared just about everything.  I miss her terribly.  :'(

Thanks for sharing your Mother with me,

Hugs, Pooh

Hey Joy!

What a great tribute to your mom! You have been thinking about her B-Day for at least a few days now, so I know it must be a really special time for you.
Mothers are like the sun after a rainy day or a fresh srping breeze.

Oh! Joy, Girl I'm a January baby too, 19th! Soon to be 47, God willing! I knew we had more in common than just plain ole TN.

Joy stay stay joyful!

Ohhh Joy.....what a wonderful way to honor your dear Mother.....to think about her...love her...and keep her memory alive in your heart! Thanks for sharing her with us here!

I still have my mom at 70 years young now...she has overcome some pretty big things in her life...both medical and non medical...and I admire her so much for that and I'm  so glad to have her in my life still today!
