You know how rubbish we are in the UK dealing with snow and ice? Well, we need to get to work on Monday and have used 4 bags of grit rock salt in the past few days, and can't get hold of any more. All the stores are clean out of the stuff. We don't use winer tyres over here, so need to get rid of the snow and ice to get our vehicles out. Any suggestions of alternative materials to use?

Kathy. have you tried cat litter?  No 3 son works at Tesco and he says thay can't get enough of it for people to use on the ice.  Take care out there, don't want you doing dancing on ice! XX Ailsa

Yes, that's a thought! I think I might have used it years ago. I suppose if I mix it with cooking salt, it might give some grip when trying to get out of our unmade lane.

Thank you!
