Hi Pooh,

I've wondered all summer long who won the competition between you and your husband in the tomato growing contest?  Who's method won - your husbands "traditional" plant in the ground kind, or yours - the hanging bag version??  It might help me make plans for next year.   ;D

 :D :D :D

There sure isn't anything wrong with your memory.

I really can't say either one of us won.  The storm we had during the summer tore mine up really bad, but I still got enough off of it for some BLT's.  They were really good.

Hubbies took a beating from the wild life we have out back.  Especially the ground hogs.  I'd say we bought more than we harvested this year.  Usually we are giving them away.

I intend to try the hanging bag again.  Just hang it in a different location.

Aww Pooh . . . too bad mother nature and her critters spoiled the competition.   ;D  I was rooting for ya!!   :D

I'm thinking about trying the hanging one next year.  I figured if I knew the weather was going to be bad I could bring it inside.  I don't eat that many tomatoes, but it would be nice to have them when I DO want one.

Thanks for the info.
