Just curious . . . we seem to have quite a few members who have either lived in Ohio, or currently live in Ohio.  Just a little survey to see how many of "us" (I'm a former Buckeye) there are among our members.

Lived here all my life.  Just came back from a week at the beach in North Carolina.  :)  Was completely without pain the entire time.  ;D  Hopefully it is because the Plaquenil has begun to work and not the climate or else I will need to figure out a way to move there sooner than retirement!

Sorry Bucky, not an Ohioan, but does it count if you passed through the state several times? ;) :D

Moved to Ohio at 3 months of age.  Was raised there, attended college and graduate school there also.  The only time I left was when I went to school in Mexico and Spain.  Took trips to Canada and Washington DC and vacations to various locations.  Live in a different state now.

Hey Bucky,

So, does it count if you not only passed through lots but on one occassion when hubby got a ticket, you had to send money to Ohio?  ;D  No? I didn't think so, lol.

Oh well, Michigan is so close at least we were neighbors for many years.  :D

Bucky

QT,

I'm sure the state of Ohio appreciates the donation your hubby made to the state with his ticket (I'm assuming it was for speeding?).  You're right - it doesn't count.  LOL

The part I miss the most when I go "home" to Ohio to visit is going to Sea World.   That place was ALWAYS packed!!  I'm sure it helped out the local economy too.  Sea World was only 10 minutes from my house so I would get a season pass and go there after work to catch a  show or "people watch".  ;D  Obviously, the big downfall about having Sea World in Ohio was the fact it was only open during the summer months.  :(

Another sad event is the closing of Geauga Lake Park.   :'(  I  have some fond memories of riding that round stone thing in the fun house seeing if I could hold on while everyone else slid off.   ;D  Those great big rockets you could ride in that were brought to Geauga Lake from Euclid Beach Park.  Sigh . . . those were the good ole days.

Too bad they didn't develop the surrounding land with all the stores, restaurants, etc. like they have now back when Sea World and Geauga Lake were open!!

Like the saying goes . . . you can take the girl out of Ohio, but you can't Ohio out of the girl!!   Ohio will always be in my blood.   ;D  (Although, I DO NOT miss those awful winters!!)

Have a great weekend everyone . . . .

Hey Bucky,

We spent many vacations at Cedar Point, Seaworld, and Geauga Lake Park. Lots of fun. My son and his family are going to Cedar Point for the halloween thingy. I still consider myself a Michigander but would never want to live there again. I am hating the heat and humidity here right now but it should settle down soon, I hope.

I still miss all you guys.   :(

I've lived in Ohio for six years. I was originally from Michigan. I do NOT like the weather around here! Too cold! We plan to go to California either when I retire or when I get too sick to work anymore (which is likely to come first). I've lived in a few states, so this is about as close to Michigan as I've been in many years. I didn't like the Michigan winters, either...but I do like the summers there better. If I could quit using all my time off for illness, I maybe could take a vacation some day!! This is what bothers me the most about being sick... I haven't had a vacation since I got sick because I end up using all my days off sick!  :-\ The last place we went before was to LA... and I fell in love. Now I just keep on waiting and wishing for the time I can go back for good!
