Hi there,

I am trying this free site called
relief in site dot com
no spaces

it is a fast way to log all my meds, gripes grumbles and achievements
so I can track the good and the bad and the ugly days....

i can print for doctors or share with anyone via email (email isn't HIPAA)
it creates a cool graph and has a body map.

I googled the creator and it seems very cool and helpful.

Physicians and hospitals have options that they'd pay for - but frankly i didn't read that much into it.

It takes me about 5 minutes to fill out a day.
It will help me keep track of what works
what flares me
what is new
old
ongoing
fleeting!

I di hope this helps ya out too - it may make you more aware of your pain (don't have to just have for pain)
so perhaps try not to do it before bed!
I ebven set reminders so if I forget it notifies me!

ReliefInSite . com
Take care out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi  :)

I don't keep a specific pain diary - but I do keep a symptom diary. Pain sometimes comes into it. I don't make an entry everyday. I have symptoms that wax and wane - come and go. I also no longer have any notions of time scales, nor do I rush to a doctor as soon as a new symptom appears. I wait and see if it will go away again first. (Obviously not anything life threatening)

When I eventually see a doctor they will say "and how long has that been going on for?" (Without the diary - I would probably say "Oh - a couple of months) With the diary I find it's more likely to be "Well I first mentioned it a couple of years ago - but its got worse."

I told a neurologist last year that neuropathy had been bothering me for about 9 months. He wanted more precision. I hadn't a clue. When I got home and checked it turned out it had actually been for over 5 years. (See what I mean about timescales? - or maybe its just cognitive disfunction)

I'd advise anyone with a long term condition to keep a symptom diary. It really helps keep track of appointments, doctors, meds and everything.

Take care - Scottie  :)
