Smart Plugs?

Hello,
     I have severe Dry eyes. Goes with my Sjogrens. Well, I got the lower tear ducks cauterized last year. and had plugs put in the upper tear ducks. they fell out so I had the smart plugs put in the last two weeks. Well the Dr. said that These would not fall out . I did research on them and see they don't but I could see with the other plugs better even tho I had really moist eyes all the time. I could see. Well now I can't see and my eyes are not moist any more either. I want to have them cauterized. I can see the Dr. tomorrow I wanted to get some options here first.

Trector, I would go a long time before cauterizing all 4 punctae.  He needs to try some other plugs, or different size smart plugs.  You have to realize that cauterization is considered permanent.  Even though it is, it often comes undone.  But to have all 4 done, you would have needed to go through the trial stuff.  Have you tried Restasis yet?  See what your doc says tomorrow, but don't be in a hurry for the smell of burning flesh.
