Ok, I need to be a more patient, patient.  My buddy is a phlebotemist (sp?) so she took my bloods recently and has brought me copies of my test results (ssshhhhh!!!).  I don't see the rheumy until 18 July and I will see the doctor on Monday.

I have worked through the letter my rheumy sent in regard to the tests and have been on the on-line laboratory site to look up their meaning.

But I have worked out that the test results I really need were not in the bunch of papers she gave me  ::)   The ANA, ENA, SSA and SSB papers are all missing.  That will teach me to be impatient, and to await the outcome won't it!   xx

I used to be impatient also until I got old!!!! I have now learned that waiting isn't half bad. I don't know what I was always in a hurry for. I used to worry about my tests also and be so impatient for the appt so I could find out. Now I just about forget about it until the day comes.

I have come to the conclusion that at my age patience is wonderful but if I was like this when I was young the house wouldn't have gotten cleaned, wash would have piled up and my family would have starved to death. Soooo, every age has it's good and bad points. Irish ;D

I used to be soooo impatient and never thought I could change. patience isn't so much becoming a better person- but becoming a tireder person!! I do not have the energy to fret and worry aobut things that I cannot change or do anything about. I have had to become more patient simply because I have had to choose to relinquish that which I am powerless over.
Some people learm to do this early in life, some people learn later in life, and some people never let things go. It's not nearly as much a virtue as an acknowledgement of what you cannot do. Jesus said in Matthew "Which one of you by worrying, can add an inch to your stature?" Well, none of us can worry ourselves taller - He's essentially saying don'r waste energy worrying about things you can do nothing about.
I also no longer worry whether I have the cleanest floors, my laundry is always completely done, or if there are counters that need to be wiped down. If I have the energy to do those things, I do them. If I don't have the energy, I know that pretty soon I will have the energy, and I will get to them.

You could ask your doctor at your next appointment that he/she request that a copy of all laboratory results be sent to you.   My rheumy has done this for me so I can see how I am doing in-between appointments.  Last time she asked if I knew what the results from each test meant, and she went over the ones I was unsure about.

I know the bottom of all my lab orders say CC: patient, PCP, and nephrologist.

Try not to worry so much until your next appointment!
