I have just arranged with my doctor for a repeat prescription to be set up for Biotene toothpaste and mouthwash, and some eye drops!!!! So pleased. I have my first ever repeat prescription list  .....  so sad that this makes me happy LOL...

No doubt this list will grow and grow as things start to get treated - suppose eventually I can add the amitriptyline if the nerve pain continues (as this is working well for me over the last two nights).

As much as I am depressed at no diagnosis at the moment ... I feel a step closer with getting a repeat prescription for the smaller items that I need on a regular basis.  Also the cost is going to help as at the moment I am paying for all the Biotene products myself and eye drops.  Now I get them free through tax credits as I am on a low income.

So today this is what I am happy about LOL..

Hi fluffie,

I'm glad to hear that you've been able to set the repeating prescription up, that's one less battle for you (and save you some money too, that's an extra bonus)!

I know what you mean about being happy about a small victory, shoot, some days I'm just happy I can find my purse (always leave it in the same place - now that's sad! ;) ::)).  The way I look at it, it may be a small win, but it's a win none the less (what can I say, I amuse easily these days).

Good luck with the amitriptyline, and I'll keep the fingers crossed for you.

Take care -

Hi Fluffie

That's great news!  Glad to hear you get free prescriptions because of tax credits.  For any other UKers it's worth saying that we can get a pre-payment card for our prescriptions.  You pay yearly and it works out around ?8 a month which is only just a little more than one prescription.

It's definitely worth celebrating today.  Yes, you'll probably add to the prescription list but many have been there before you and we'll help all we can.  Just let us know when you need us.

Hi Fluffie

Glad you've got the prescriptions sorted. I buy a prepayment certificate, which is good, as I have 21 items on repeat - not something I'm proud of, but they get me through the day (and night!).

Hi Fluffie - so glad you can find something to smile about!!  I bought a 3 month prepaid prescription card too - it makes me smile to collect my goody bag without handing over a penny more!!  You're right, maybe we are easily amused these days but there's nothing wrong with that.

My smile of the day came marking some original writing; one girl wrote of her Dad's anger at getting custardy!!  I think I'd quite like that actually...
