Yippee! I've had my urography test and I got an A grade for my peeing performance - so no catheters for me for now.  Just need to sort out the cause of my recurrent UTIs now - the consultant was adamant that it was incomplete bladder emptying but apparently not.  Just wanted to share my joy at being spared the catheter drama!

Hi Agatha  :)

Hope you get the UTIs sorted out but that's great news that you're a Grade A pee-er!! I don'y know how people manage catheters, so i'm glad you don't have to even try!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Agatha,

Congratulations, did you get a diploma or a certificate for your achievement!  I'm a bit envious, o.k, very envious, yesterday I went to the hospital to have another stent put in my kidney, but no luck, so I still have to go to the bathroom 20 times a day, except it feels like I had a cheese grater inside me yesterday :'(

Agatha, great news about your test results!

Navydad, that was a good one, a really good one.  Thanks for the belly laugh.

So happy for you Agatha ,

hope you find out soon what exactly is the cause of the UTIs..

Sometimes they never find the cause, and put patients on long term Anti-biotics..which seem to give good results.

Please keep us informed Agatha, as I am most interested in this topic.
Well done , Dolly.x

Thanks all for sharing my happiness.  Epson, I'm so  sorry you are suffering -  I completely relate to the cheesegrater feeling!
I will update if the urologist comes up with anything interesting as I know many of us suffer in the same way.
love to you all

Congrats Agatha!!!  Wow, no catheters for you!  Wahoo!

Oh, just an A?  What's up with that?  Why didn't he give you an A+?  With all the crap that you've endured lately, you deserve at least that! ;) :D ;D

Oh Epson, I'm sorry to hear of the latest developments, and hope that you feel better soon!

Take care folks,

Patze

Yea Agatha...so glad to hear that you don't have to deal with the catheters and that you got an A for good peeing!  :D

I was another one who had recurrent UTI's and didn't empty my bladder completely. After several times of being on antibiotics only to have the UTI come back shortly after I was done taking them...I was put on low dose antibiotics for 6 months which was a HUGE help to me and seemed to fix the problem!

This is very encouraging Lynnmarie - I have just started a long course of low dose Trimethoprim and already i feel so much better - it's good to hear that it fixed things for you - give me some hope that things can be better.
