Do any of you have autonomic neuropathy?

  Is this common with sjogrens syndrome?  What symptoms do you have?  Im starting to think that Jenna doesnt sweat and that might be causing her problem in the heat.  She make out fine when she is in her pool or in the water.

  I'm sure it does Jonelle.   My thermastat is completely out of kilt.. I can be hot & cold all at the same time.. I cannot tolerate the least bit draught. yet I cannot sit in sunshine.  I always have to sit in shade.

This has been so much worse this winter, I am driven to distraction at times , and I thought now that Spring had arrived   I'd be more comfortable, I certainly have not..

Every one has discarded the winter woollies, but not me   I have them on & off all day...

     I went  to my GP about it and all they do is check blood samples   for Thyroid , Anaemia, et'c.. which always come back negative.. It's the pits ain't it...

I have trouble sweating,,, I used to get in trouble in PE class b/c the teacher would not think I was doing anythng b/c I never broke a sweat, sometimes I'd be forced to run extra laps or do push ups.
At the gym I don't take group classes b/c someone will inevitably comment that I am not trying very hard, or tell me to put some effort into it! LOL

Hi Jonnel.  I have autonomic neuropathy.   When I was younger prior to any hint of an illness I used to pride myself on the fact that I never sweat.   My friends were always amazed since I never needed perspirant.   Now later on I've learned that we with autonomic neuropathy have thermostats that are screwed up.   Now, during the heat I can't stop sweating from my face and head.

Jonnell, Another thing to Google. I stay cold in most weather and won't be in short sleeves until temps reach at least 75 during the day.  Don't sweat.

Billydude,  Do you find that in the summer if u r in the swimming pool the heat doesnt bother u as much.  That is the only thing we have found that keeps Jenna from getting sick in the summer.   Hugs and Kissess   Jonnnell and jenna

Now that is a sun hat!I could sure use a nice one like that to keep the sun off,course I wouldn't look anywhere as nice as she does in it.Until menopause and SJS I didn't sweat.Exercise would produce a few beads on my brow.My DD doesn't either.She lives in Florida and the office staff hated running mail out to post last week when it was 90's.They would be drenched in sweat so they bet 10 that she would be wringing wet.She collected 30 in total.She just told me about it yesterday.

not only do i think I have it,, but its comingon fast, cant get warm,, the neuropathy in my legs has gotten worse,, and it seems to be spreading tomy arms too,, I;m actually afraid I;m going to be in a wheelchair because of this,, visited friends in Indiana,, spent the night in a hospital,, could not get bowels to move,, they really werent much help,, once they talked tomy doctors in Pittsburgh,, I knew I would onlt get minimal care,, and I never heard of a Doctor making rounds at 4am,, darn guy was in my room at 4am,, I asked him,, what the heck is worng with you,, guy was a idiot

Wendesday,  You wouldnt say that when she is throwing a temper tantrum lol.  How are you doing?  I read your post and I know you are feeling better changing your diet.  What exactly do you not eat and what makes you feel better about your diet.  I know some people feel better with a change in diet but dont know exactly what the change is.    Hugs and Kissess    Jonnell and Jenna

true all kids are cute till the temper starts my sons are same lol.

ok for me alone i can answer.  I looked into leaky gut theory and found candida was one of the causes of this, since i have suffered from candida of the vajayjay ( still laugh at that)  for many years, i thought this might be one of the causes with me, everything ive cut out is part of not feeing the candida  further and trying to kil it off.

For me no brain fog now, fibromyalgia symptoms gone, pain in joints mostly gone, night sweats and shivering with cold intolerance duing day is gone, GERD, cold feet, hands going white/red/numb on touching something in freezer is also gone.

my fatigue is gone, im still slightly easier washed out, at times, but i was suffering pain and fatigue to the extent that id clean half a bathroom and have to lie down in pain and tiredness. i still get a bit sore now and then, but then i readjust the supplements  i take to kill the candida  off, so that can be put down to that.


  i can walk, clean house, and do most things normally now, before i was unable to contemplate so many things .
