Hello. This is my first day on the site. I have been on it for hours. Good stuff. Anyway, I wonder if many of you have the same
problem I have with my sinuses. I get a dull headache and feel dizzy with the problem seemingly centered in my sinuses. I have
tried Vick's and Nose better with some good results but came upon something that works just great. There is a product called Oasis
on the market for dry mouth. It is a glycerin product, if I am not mistaken. My sinuses seemed so dry to me I thought maybe spraying
some of the Oasis in my nose might help. It did burn for a moment but afterwards I alway feel better. Hope this helps somebody out
there.

My doctor put me right away on sinus rinses and was surprised I wasn't on them before. It has helped me. Check with your doctor to be sure it is ok before you use this as you can get it over the counter. I NEVER take /use anything over the counter without checking with the dr first.

It is call NeilMed Sinus Rinse starter kit.  I has a 240ml (8 oz) plastic bottle  with a hole in the top of the cap. You fill it with distilled water and about a teaspoon of non iodized salt (sea salt). Iodized salt is too harsh, mix. Basically you squirt this in your nose - each side - twice a day. It has helped me by moisturizing my nose and also it seems to have helped cut down the many sinus infections I was getting. I guess the sinuses get too dry and it is easier to get "germs" started that way?

Anyway, check with your doctor about this. I am sure it will at least help you some. Also, let us know how it has worked for you if you can use it.  Good Luck!

Hi Pmortimer  :)

Welcome to Sjogren's world.  I don't know if my sinuses are dry or not - but my nose certainly is. I found Ayre Nasal Gel was helpful. i don't know if I can get it in the Uk or not. A friend from the US gave it to me, so I know its there.

I tried nasal rinses but they hurt. It's somethinh I must ask my ENT doc about next time I see them.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Hi pmortimer3!

Welcome to Sjogrens World!

My sinuses and nose are also very dry. I have  used the Ayr gel in my nostrils as Scottie mentioned.....saline spray....and a neti pot to rinse the sinus areas thoroughly. They all seem to help some for a short while but I don't think I'm consistent enough with any one to see any major improvement! Maybe I should be!  :D

I also have a very dry nose and mouth. My best friend found a natural remedy for me and boy has it helped.
The nasal moisturizer is :
1oz aroma land extra virgin olive oil
3-5 drops of aroma land lavender oil
3-5 drops of aroma land lemon oil.
I mix this all together. I use a Q-tip to apply it to the inside of my nose. It has really really helped me. I have even applied this to my arms when I get out of the shower to help with the dry skin and itching.
I haven't found anything that has helped with the mouth. I have tried the oasis it's ok but it doesn't last very long.
Good luck hope this helps

I too use the Neil Med sinus rinse with the bottle. I use it 2 to 3 times per day.   I have been fighting really horrible sinus infections for the last 3 years including sinus surgery.    I have found that the rinse keeps down the infections.  Of course I was only diagnosed with Sjogrens this week.  Not sure how long I have had it.   But I know if I can keep the sinus infections in check, I feel better.
