I worried I may have Shingles

Confusing symptoms makes it the most difficult to adjust to this illness.You find your always second guessing yourself.You don't want to sound like a whiner,you don't want to suffer needlessly,you don't want to feel stupid for mentioning or not mentioning a piticular strange symptom,you don't know which specialty to even make an appt. with and which drug reaction could it be from either because your on the drug or because you stopped the drug.Drs. of every specialty either don't know or have vastly different views so all we can do is keep on searching for the answer that makes the most sense for our symptom at any given moment.

So sorry that you're having burning and rash problems, Steve. My DD had shingles when she was just 7. It was very painful for her. The rash is very distinctive, like Scottie said, clusters of water filled "blisters".  It is only on one side, never crosses the midline. When it first appeared, I thought she had a recurrance of chicken pox as she had a mild case 3 years previously.

Hang in there. I hope you can con't using the Cellcept since you were benefitting from it. Did you ever get that biopsy done? (Arranged by Dr C)

Hi Bonusmom.  My initial appointment with the liver biopsy people isnt until later this month then the biopsy will be later than that.  I am having a little biopsy on this rash on my back on Monday since the antibiotics are not curing it.  I really don't think its shingles since I don't have any pain its just a bit itchy at times.   I did have a new area start up as well.   It almost looks like a connect the dot kind of thing in a complete circle with bright red dots and inflamed in the middle.  I saw a picture of something similiar on the internet that described it as a bacterial infection you get from being in a hot tub.  However,  haven't been in a hot tub.

I had the biopsy on the outbreak on my back.  They said that there were lympocites in the specimen and that this is caused by the Sjogrens.   Has anyone had a similiar experience of the Sjogrens causing a rash with lympocites in it?
