Post menopausal spotting

Does anyone else have this problem?

It makes sense to me that Sjogren's is related to my spotting. Sjorgren's causes dryness; dryness can cause bleeding. We're not talking much blood, just a little.

Please get it checked out asap. It may well be related to dryness, or even hormone imbalance, but my dear friend had this happen, and she had an ealy stage cancer. She's absolutely fine now, but had to have an hysterectomy.

I'm not trying to scare you, but just alert you to have it checked out.

    Mimi, I too have had a little spotting during my post menapausal years.. I too am extremely dry down there..and this can be a problem causing spotting,  but if you are through menopause do get it checked out, also the Doc may be able to give you some cream to help the dryness.

Yes, dryness of "delicate" tissues can cause a bit of bleeding, but as everyone said, please have it checked out so that you know for sure that's the problem, and hopefully you can get some treatment, too.

I just learned this is one of the Cardinal Rules of Gynecology.

Any spotting after you've stopped menses MUST BE CHECKED OUT.

Hi there, I've had this on a couple of occasions and can be caused by a lack of estrogen. I went along promptly to the gynaecologist who did a D&C and all was well. Like the others said, please get it checked out ASAP.  Sjogrens can cause havoc with our hormones and it's good to know that it's just that.
