I haven't researched this on the internet, but I am think am having a problem with to much acid and GERD. Sometimes after I eat, I get a naucious (spelling sorry) feeling on my stomach causing me to have to vomit. After doing so and drinking Sprite, I feel better. I wait awhile then dry something else to eat and am ok. The type of food doesn't seem to matter, although with bread it's not as bad. I also period acid reflux, not everyday though. Do you think I need to consider taking one of those acid reducers? I know I will need to check with the doc first.

Short answer: Yes.  ;D

Long answer: Due to the drugs we're on, that tend to do a number on stomachs; and the effect of Sjs on stomachs, which are supposed to be pretty juicy and we know how that goes; AND the stress your average Sjoggy is under, yes, I'd diffinitely talk to your doctor about an acid reducer.

I take one twice a day and it's really helped my comfort level.

Hi  :)

I'm on Omeprazole. every so often I need a double dose (always approved by doc) but usually one in the morning does the trick. Part of my problem is also having a hiatal hernia so I don't actually vomit but if I tip the wrong way I end up with stomach acid in my mouth. (Enough to make other people vomit!)

I sleep with the head end of my bed raised so it doesn't slop around when I'm sleeping!

I'd run it past your doc before you take anything though.

Take care - Scottie  :)
