Symptoms more pronounced on one side of the body

Morning, Is anyone else experiencing more pronounced symptoms on one side of the body?  My right side starts with symptoms before my left side and they are worse on my right side.  When I walked for exercise my right foot started hurting weeks before my left foot gave me problems.  It is my right knee that hurts when I walk for long periods.  My right eye waters on the outside corner like a faucet at times.  My right elbow cannot take the pressure of leaning on it.  The itching problem that has been discussed.  I have read the posts but did not attach my itch to Sjogren's until last night.  For months my right calf in the back would itch like I had a rash but nothing showed.  When it starts I feel like I could scratch it raw.

Symptoms always more pronounced on the right side.  Roxanne

Hey Roxie,

I have worse nerve stuff in my right leg, I think.

My right foot is kind of like a 'drop foot', it's harder to pick up when I am walking and my calf is shaped a little differently than my left.  When I am walking I notice my right calf feeling fatigued and achy.

And of course my right hand has much worse carpal tunnel syndrome than my left.

I get this quite a bit.  I even posted about it a couple of years ago (tried to search for it but it was on the old forum).  I can't seem to figure it out.  I know others had responded that they get it too.  Sometimes I think it may have to do with how I slept the night before but other times it doesn't make sense because I'll have strange things too like you with the eye.  This is one thing that I always forget to bring up at the Dr office too (I have my symptom journal but always forget to bring it with me - BRAIN FOG).  I'll be interested to hear any other insights on to what causes this.

Gosh, I thought it was just me.     It's my right side too!  From the top of my head to my feet, if anything goes wrong or hurts it's the right side of my body.   I'll try to remember to ask at my next doctor visit also, that's if the fog lifts while I'm in her office   Hate that brain fog.  Wonder why it's not just one sided???

Mine's the right side too! it's numb and tingly pretty much all of the time, while my left side will easy up. My right ring finger and pinky are always numb. It makes it hard for typing- I have to watch where my fingers go especially as the day goes on and I get tired.  The Cymbalta has helped with the deep muscle and bone pain and the gabapentin had been helping with the tingly feelings. But lately the weather has be rainy damp and cold and  I have been extra ouchy. I think part of that is the Fibromyalgia, but the other SJS? Growing up and in my early adult life and did have a few hard injuries to my right side- would that cause that to be amplified?

How weird!  I was just sitting here thinking how strange it was that my elbow and knee were really sore but only on the right side!

I feel my symptoms more accutely on my left side. My left eye sometimes waters horrendously and the left parotid gland's swollen, but not the right. I'll have to pay attention to see if this is true with my foot pain as well....

Bonus Mom, Didn't think of it until you mentioned your left parotid gland being swollen.  It was swelling in my right sub mandibular gland that started my journey in the world of Sjogries.  The gland was swollen to almost golf ball size and it took three trips to the regular Doc (including antibiotics and steroids) a visit to the surgeon for a biopsy, the surgeon sent me to an ENT (I thought for more information) the ENT wanted to take "it" out, I left that office and went home and called a throat specialist and made an appt., he said it was either Sjogren's or something else (don't remember what) made an appt. with a Rheumy who confirmed Sjogren's (plus several rounds of blood work throughout).  This process took the better part of a year but I feel fortunate that it did not take years or even decades like I have read on this site. 

This all started in my right gland and it is my right side that is more involved even though I have symptoms on both sides.

My problems have ALWAYS been worse on the left side, from the left side eye dryness, pain, to the appearance and frequency of joint pain, to the numbness.
It was always the left side.
