Never a dull moment with us & our kids (9 tropical fish,l algae eater) it seems!!  Everyday brings something new.........have lots of laughs along with "oh no, what now".  Poor hubby has severe depression & lots of brain fog.  Just as well he is a fun person.
Noticed yesterday his wedding ring is no longer on his finger.  He hasn't a clue where it is.  We've searched everywhere.  Guess it will show up some time. Sure hope it isn't lost.  Figured it was an excuse for a newbie, but naturally he wants the old one back.  Such is life.

Hi Lotus  :)

My hubby has lost 2 wedding rings both within 3 weeks of being given them. He doesn't have brain fog for an excuse. He lost the first one in a woodyard and the second one in a garden.
The second one was his 30th wedding anniversary present. I'm not buying him another one.

I hope your hubby finds his.

Take care - Scottie  :)

I sure hope he finds his ring too!

I am always losing and misplacing things and it used to bother me so much until I found whatever I was looking for....but now it happens so often...I just let it slide off and know its around here someplace.  Then once in a while when I'm looking for something else I've "misplaced", I'll find some of the original lost items and its like a treasure!    ;D   Crazy!   ::)

My hubby has never had a wedding ring.  His work always was working with machinery where it's dangeroud to wear rings and so I never had to splurge.  Even after 40+ years, he is retired, but still is puttering every available minute of the day.  No wedding rings for him.  We did get him a cell phone last night, though.  If he's like me, it won't be a very important thing to him.  I will be able to call him from the house to the garage, though, instead of trudging through the rain or snow to find him for a phone call, etc.

I hope you guys find hubby's ring.  I bet you will.  Lucy

I'm glad I'm not the only wife with this problem.  I'm almost embarrassed to tell people thinking I'll get the reaction "yeah, um sure".   :D

My husband is on his second ring because he lost his first one.  He doesn't like it on when he washes his hands because he gets trapped soap suds.  If you knew my husband, you would understand LOL.  He used to take it off to wash his hands and put the ring on the counter.  That's fine at home but when you are somewhere else like a restaurant, etc you have to be careful.  Well, he wasn't careful one time.

He still takes it off to wash his hands but now puts it in his pocket.  We have had a few scares with this one but have found it numerous times in the bottom of the hamper because it had fallen out of his pockets.

hopefully it will show up, i took my engagment ring off for a bath, and couldnt fint it again, only had it for 2 months, i was panic stricken, we searched the whole house and i felt sick i tell you, went for a bath 2 days later  and lifted the shampoo bottle to wash my hair and it was stuck to the underside of it lol, boy was i happy to see it again !!

hoping it turns up soon, i know sentimental reasons make these things more valuable than the price of a new ring :(

Yeah, I've gotten to the point I don't count something "missing" till it's been gone more than a month.

I recently found an opal ring my husband gave me for my birthday last year in a shoe in my closet.  Don't ask, because I don't know how the heck it got there!

For some reason, the junk jewelry (most of what I own) never goes missing!

My DH stopped wearing his yrs. ago do to handling machinery. He hasn't done that line of work in yrs. but never put it back on.It was a plain band not expensive anyway but I wonder if he knows where it is anymore,I don't.My mom once lost her children's birthday's ring,Whatever that's called. It meant alot to her.Was missing several yrs.One day getting frozen food out of the bottom freezer basket in the basement she noticed something dangling and it was the ring! She must have caught it on there one  of the times she removed food. She was so happy.

Oh, I hope he finds it soon.  I lost my wedding ring a couple of years ago. I was panic-strickened!  I lost it earlier in a Best Buy store bathroom. Aparently, I washed my hands and it slipped right off without me knowing.

Amazingly, someone turned it in. I have turned in 4 wedding rings that I have found over the years and I am happy someone has done the same for me.

Take Care!

Hi Lotus

Your family life sounds like a lot of fun - I have to say that I blame the algae eater for the disappearing ring!

We've been married 30 years this July and I can still slide my wedding ring on and off - useful for MRI visits - but my husband's ring has been stuck on his finger for years.  I think he jammed it (the ring) in a door once and it's bent out of shape.  At least that's his story and he's sticking to it ....!

Maybe once you find the wedding ring/buy another you could feed hubby lots of cake so that his fingers get fat and he won't be able to remove his ring?

Take care - Chickpea

Epson

The Holiday Inn is calling, they found your husband's ring in room 224 ;D  Just kidding!

Epson, I think you sit up nites thinking of things to hit us with. That was a hoot!!! I have to tell you that my hubby bought me a Black Hills gold wedding band that was black with stones and I loved it so much. We were in Rochester going through the Mayo Clinic and I did leave mine in the motel room---took it off for some reason and it got thrown in the garbage and didn't notice til the next day!!!!

Not neither one of us wear a wedding ring and nobody even trys to pick us up. Oh well, that's life!!! IRish ;D ;D

Epson, LMAO on that one. Now I can't think what I was gonna say!  Oh Well!!!!
