Sun. April 5th I went off the the hospital because my blood pressure was very high. Once we were there they started asking me if i was feeling any contractions. I said maybe every once in a while like maybe 2 an hour. Turns out i was contracting every 3-4 mins! I was dilated to a 1. They gave me meds twice to try to stop contractions and meds to help bring my blood pressure down. By 9 am on the 6th I was only dilated to a 3 and my dr. was concerned about my slow progress. ( I had a c-section w/ my 1st and she was concerned about the old scar and my bp was still up) She gave me the option of laboring for 1 more hour to see if I made signifacnt progress or just having another c-setcion. By this time I was tired as I hadn't slept all night so we opted for the c-section. Which turned out to be a good choice because was she was in she noticed a placental abrutpion. So our son was born at 10:33 am April 6th six weeks early 6lbs. 8oz. 20 ins long. His bp was low due to all the meds I had been on but once they were out of his system he started doing much better. He will be coming home from the NICU tomorrow.

Lacey, Congratulations on that new baby. Our bodies are so fine tuned----your body knew that baby had to get out of there because there was something wrong. So glad everything went ok and all is well. Rest now cause that high BP can wear a person out. Irish ;D
