Hi all!

Emotions play a huge part in how we feel physically!

This is something I already know...but I guess I never really remember until its too late!  Although its hard to control how we feel about things when you deal with everyday events and people...I keep learning over and over how much our emotions can affect us until I have thrown my body into another flare.

These past couple of weeks have not been the greatest for me.....very busy at work with a lot of demands and meetings and many consumer issues that have to be dealt with on a daily basis. I work with adults with Developmental Disabilities and its hard to not get too emotional when dealing with some of the issues that come up.

Also my youngest kitty got very ill last week....she was a stray I rescued and only had since last summer. She was such a good girl and she was loved, but I had to make the decision to put her to sleep a few days ago due to her illness.....she had become so weak and there was no hope for her to get better..they think it was something she has probably had since birth since she was in such bad condition when I found her (actually she found me...she crawled out from under a truck when I came home from work and joined my "animal family" that night!).

In the middle of all of this I began to feel pretty unwell again...my GI issues were flaring big time as was my joint/muscle pain. The "flare" so directly relates with my emotions...when things get bad....the old body usually flares more! It can also become such a vicious circle.

This is when I know I need to take a little better care of myself....I took a couple of days off work and rested and let myself mourn my little Bella, and in the meantime enjoyed the company of my other kitty and 2 dogs. They sure do help...more than they know!

Thanks for letting me vent a little..it feels good to share with others!

Lynnmarie,

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious little kitty.

Those little furrie pals are such good little buddies.

I hope you are feeling better after taking time off. You are so right about the emotions and stress, it all has a direct line into our AI issues.

Please take care of your self. Cuddle your other babies and think positive thought to push out those work stresses.

We love you and I will pray for you, kimbo

My dear, dear Lynnmaire,

I'm so sorry that you are feeling poorly.

What a terrible week!  My golden retriever is named "Bella" and she is very old.  I cannot imagine what it will be like without her someday.

I wish for your relief both emotionally and physically.

Love to you,
Janna

Hi Lynnmarie-
I'm sorry you've had several emotional and physical setbacks just recently.  You will mourn your kitty and this will get better especially since you have a "menagerie" of other animals.  Take a little break and take care of your GI issues and please let us know how you're doing in a week or so.   ;D  Lucy

Hi Lynmarie - from another 'kitty lover'.  Hope you start to feel better soon, both physically and emotionally.  Bella may have 'found' you but you certainly made the last months her happiest ever.  Snuggle up to the other furries and try to switch off from work issues at home (easier said than done, I know)  Thinking of you, xx Ailsa

What a lucky little kitty Bella was, to have found someone so loving and caring as you. I'm sorry she didn't stay longer, butI'm sure she will always have a special place in your heart.

Look after yourself, you are very precious to us, and we need to know you are looking after 'number one'.

Hugs

not good to hear all this, i have 3 cats, theyre not my first cats, my first was a rescue cat about 3 years old, had her 9 years, and i still think of her, ppl never truly understand how much we love them unless theyre an animal person, so sorry to hear of your loss, but you gave her a good home, and love , but its never an easy thing, thoughts with you

I am so sorry for your loss. I use to work in a vet clinic and I have had to make the same choice as you with a few of pets through the years. It is never an easy thing to decide, but it is certainly for the best to end their suffering. They become our "kids in fur coats" when they adopt us. :) I know that when I don't feel good stress is a huge factor. I'm glad that you were able to take some time off and get some rest.

Take care,
Leslie

LynnMarie,
So sorry for your loss and terrible week. I  am glad you took some time for yourself and hope you will be feeling better soon. You are so right about our emotions affecting our flares. Big stress= Big flare.

Take Care!

Lynnmarie, I am sorry about the loss of your dear pet.  I do want to commend you for your choice of profession even though it can be stressful.  One of my daughters (18) is developmentally delayed, MMR, and has sensory intergration.  I understand how stressful and hard working with people with disabilities can be.  Thank you for dedicating your life to a difficult career.
