Nocturnal Urination

I usually sleep thru the night and don't have to get up due to a full bladder.

Over the past few days, I've noticed that my urine is a bit darker during the day, even though intake remains the same.

Last night, I was awakened 4 times with a very full bladder. I didn't drink any more than usual. I have no pain or fever.

On Sunday evening I had some mid back pain and thought maybe it was kidney related, but then recalled playing the new Wii the day before with the kids and using muscles that haven't been used for a (long) while.

Short of an MD visit, any ideas?

PS. I've had more thanm my share of UTI's in my day and this is nothing like that.

Hi BonusMom  :)

You know the answer to your own question! You need to get it checked out. Sorry. I know we see enough docs already! Go prepared and take a urine sample with you. When habits change suddenly - its always best to get them checked - even if it turns out to be nothing.

Take care - Scottie  :)

You definitely need to get to your doc.  If it is a UTI you want to get on antibiotics ASAP so it doesn't migrate to your kidney.  You should also ask your doctor to schedule a follow-up urine test after you finish the meds to be sure the infection is gone and that your kidney function is normal.  I didn't find out about all my Sjogren's-related kidney problems until my most recent UTI.

I hope you feel better soon!
