Hang in there, Shiela while you wait for results.  Took me years to finally get diagnosis of SjS and it came from rheumy after much talking and pointing to facts of not only symptoms but results and how to put them all together.  Every neuro and rheumy has wanted to blow me off, so I hope that you get resolution soon and that LP results help with case.  If Hopkins is not out of the question, and you do get a diagnosis of myelitis or transverse myelitis, they have the nation's best faculty there for treating it.  Let us know what comes of things.

How are you feeling today?  Did you have a restful weekend and lots of recovery time?

I'm so relieved that the LP was straightforward, and really pleased to hear that you (finally) met some 'interested and attentive' medical staff.  Why should that be such a surprise and relief?!  It always is, but it really shouldn't be.
