red blotch rash back of neck ?????

Hi again,  Jenna has a new symptom I need your wealth of knowledge again.  She has been getting this red solid large rash on the back of neck right below her hair line.  I wounldnt really worry about it but it is hot to the touch.  Any ideas what it mught be from.

   Hi J&j,  I really don't think anyone would even attempt to say what this is on Jennas neck. It could be a one of many ...
     
              Does she sweat a lot, perhaps it is simply an allergic reaction to a different shampoo or a food reaction..

                 Is Janna her usual self or a liitle unwell, there are way too many reasons, so I think you know Jonelle that a trip to the Doc is on, if this is persistent !

Hi Dolly I thank you for your post.  Jenna currently has a very bad sinus infection and cough.  I had heard lupus can cause a rash on the back of the neck .  But this is hot to the touch and solid red.  Jonnell and Jenna

Hi Jonnell

I would get this checked out by the doctor.  As Dolly says, it could be due to Jenna sweating with fever or because she's got an allergy.  Or it could be connected to an infection or to her underlying condition ... whichever of these things it is, the rash is a sign that her body is having a tough time. 

Does anything help with the rash - maybe cold compresses?  Or a cool shower?

Chickpea,  Hi again thank you for your help.  I remember once before jenna had this when she had a infection in her body.  So maybe it is connected.  I havent tried anything yet I didnt know what to try.  But I will try the cool compresses they seen to help most things.  I hope things are going good with you you are always in my prayers.  Have we heard anything from navydad I am very concerned about him.  I hope we all helped him get thru what he is dealing with.  I was in tears.

I agree..... a call or trip to the doctor is probably your best bet....Its probably nothing serious, but better to be safe than sorry!

Does she complain that it hurts or itches?

I hope it resolves soon.....she is so young to have all of this stuff going on in her little body...I feel for her!
