Navy Dad,

I have thought and meditated on your post. I am so grateful for the replies your have received.

Sometimes responses to such extreme situations of stress are very hard to address. I hurt for you and I hurt with you.

I pray for you.

This is what I have for you with hugs of compassion,  kimbo

Dear Navydad,
My heart goes out to you. I am going to email our church prayer chain and have the members start praying for you. First for your financial situation, second for your pain, third that the Dr. starts disability papers for you. I will also ask the members to pray for you when you share the situation with your children. I will also pray that God allows your wife to realize that leaving you creates more stress and can affect your symptoms. May she come to her senses. Love doesn't quit an unfavorable situation.
Until recently, my husband was totally unsympathetic to my condition. We have been trying for 8 months to find out why I keep
vomiting and experiencing abdominal pain.   These episodes made him realize the SS is a chronic condition and can cause a multitude of effects.( some of the Dr's think it is SS related, some don't. my gut feeling is , it probably is)
We are getting referred to a new . So far the tests show no reason for this to happen.  I will also be calling a rheumy who has a strong interest in SS. My present rheumy supports my decision for which I am grateful.
God Bless you Navydad. may He help you find confort in those who care about you. May God show you his purpose for all the difficulties you are facing.  It it so difficult to have a disorder that most people haven't heard of, or(Dr's) rarely treat.
We are not crazy, they are just undereducated!!!!!

A difficult situation for your family, no doubt.

As the others have posted, it seems that your wife was trying to protect you--knowing that stress exacerbates many health issues.

So sorry that you're having to return to work prematurely, but am hopeful that your employer can work with your limitations.

NavyDad,

Many hugs to both you and your wife and your sons.  I have 3 sons and I can't honestly say I understand them at all.  I do know that you felt hurt that your wife kept secrets about the bills and it hurt an innocent person (you).  I have to agree with everyone's comment that you should let your son know.  He's a man and will handle it better than you think.  It would worry him to be away from home knowing something may be wrong but it would be an additional worry to always wonder what is going on that he doesn't know.  I hope I made sense.

Lay it out on the line to them.  You need them on your side and you also need them on their mother's side too.

I believe in God and I believe he'll be there for you!
