We were busy every day but I surprised myself by keeping up.Seeing my sisters was nice and my daughter's baby's 1st b-day was lovely.Picked up my 17yr. grandson for a day and loved seeing him.My sisters had no clue about my my limitations and were disappointed I couldn't shop and take long walks with them.I didn't get upset about it,I did what I could and declined when I knew I had reached my limit. It was a good trip and helped me to get away but it's so good to be home. One thing was clear though.I did much better in the warmer weather in Florida then in cold Ohio. Can't wait for retirement.

Dear Ruby,

I'm so glad you were able to have good limits and enjoy your visit!  I live in Northern MN and wonder about the effects of this cold weather.

Best to you, honey.

The warm weather does help...but if you are stressed..which I was

during my Georgia, Texas, Florida visit...it seems to be the same.

Had I not been stressed I would have probably had the best time ever.

That is the part that gets me...I can get all tore up about something

and like clockwork three days later it hits me and hard. I try very hard

not to stress but things just have a way of getting you there even if you don't want to be.

I still however would love to be in Florida stressed than to be here in IL not stressed

but frozen....lol

JJ,

I agree!  Epson says "Stress is to Sjogren's folks what kryptonite is to superman."  It's toxic!

Honestly, even a good "thriller" movie can put me in a flare!

JJ

JannaLee,

Would rather be in Florida stressed watching a thriller movie (which does the same to me)

sitting near Epson talking about eating worm eggs and hairy backs than here in the cold!

ANYDAY!!! And Ruby I'm so glad that you got a little relief....way better than nothing

plus seeing family has a healing power as well.

And Epson: thanks for the fun and being a good sport, you make me smile, keep up the good work!

I'm back in Florida after my kidney surgery and I can tell you I do much better here in the winter than in Ohio.  You can get out more which puts you in a better frame of mind.  And, since my Sjogrens diagnosis, I've found walking to be very therapeutic. And, the sun shining is just plain good medicine.

Ruby, glad you had a good visit.
