Great Rheumy, New Support Group

Good Morning Everyone,
I received this message from one of our new members and she ask that I post it for you all. 

Dear Pooh, I am new to the site
Myra G.  I live a few miles from Mt Airy MD in  Sykesville,
I go to a great Rheumatologist in Westminster which is about 15 miles north of Mt Airy

One of the people in our support group also sees him.
He has been very supportive of my problems.

Our support group meets in Frederick the 2nd sat. of the odd months, Jan, Mar etc.

too far away for me, but wonderful,news for anyone within that area or travelable to, good to hear there are docs out there who will be supportive and understanding, 3 cheers for that doc lol

I'll second the recommendation for Dr. Shaw.  I've been seeing him for over two years and am very happy with him.  I initially selected Dr. Shaw because he was the nearest rheumy who accepted my insurance. Boy did I get lucky!  My insurance has changed so I can go to just about any doctor I want to now.  There's a  new rheumy office here in Gettysburg that I've been tempted to look into just because of proximity, but I'm very hesitant to leave Dr. Shaw.  I may look into the Frederick support group.  I get flyers from the Harrisburg area group, but never seem to be able to make their meetings.
